hey everyone. Im looking to add the anti androgen flutamide to my birth control but im having a really hard time finding a doctor that will prescribe it to me. To all you girls who have tried it or are on it how did you convince your doctor to give it to you? Also if anyone has doctor recommendations of who may be able to prescribe it to me let me know. I live in ohio. Thanks!

its been ten days into my new birth control ortho novum 135 and lately when i put anything on my face whether its cleanser or moisturizer my face burns. The same thing happened when i started taking thyroid meds. Is my body just adjusting to the hormones? No side effects from this pill but so far no changes in my skin :/

What happens if you just skip the placebo pills and start your next pack? Is it dangerous?

I'm not able to take Spiro anymore due to the severe side effects. I took 100 mg and my skin was so clear it was unreal. It was so nice to have clear skin but I felt like I was dying. I've been against bc for my entire life because I feel like it's bad to mess with your body's natural cycle but now it's my only option. Never tried bc before. Went to planned parenthood and I asked for ortho tri lo because my younger sister is on it and her skin is so gorgeous but I've been researching tri phasics and they seem like their a bad idea. My gyn recommended a monophasic but I was stubborn and I pushed the ortho lo. I'm almost done with my period so I plan on starting bc when next Sunday comes around but I'm reconsidering my bc option before I do. I have emotional struggles and I'm tired all month long and a week or two before my period starts I get nauseated and even more exhausted and very angry. My acne also blows up. But the day after I get my period the acne goes away. It's really tiring I can't take it. I feel like maybe I need a monophasic because I seem to have sensitivity to fluctuating hormones. I feel like j need something to steady my hormones on a consistent basis. I was thinking of getting ortho Novum 135 instead of ortho lo but I'm not sure if it's good for acne or not. If you girls have tried it with success or you have suggestions on a different pill that might be good for me please leave me a comment and share!

Im done with spiro. It just makes me so sick. I cant tolerate it anymore. Im finally breaking down and thinking of trying birth control. I dont think yaz or yasmin is a good idea because it contains spiro and i dont want to go through that again. I was thinking of trying ortho tri cyclen but i dont know if i should use the regular one or the LO version. Can anyone guide me in the right direction? Im scared of bcp pills and this is my first time giving it a try.
