I'm pretty sure at the end of the first month, everything stopped. It gradually gotten better then on.

In Topic: Wow, Retin A Micro is working great!

Yup, Retina micro worked great for my bother. He had moderate acne and it pretty much cleared him up after half a year. Then he got cocky and went off retina...his acne came back a few months later. Now he is on tane per my advice.

I don't feel that accutane will help your scars. Are you talking about scars or red marks? Scars are more on the deformation of the skin where you have dips and whatnot. But red marks are those brown/red spots that are left when a pimple goes away. I has a small scar on my cheek that was very shallow. Before I went on tane, I used retina 0.1% and it helps raise it back to the surface. Now it's smooth and blends in with the surrounding skin. it didn't help much with the red marks though. I found that Epinquin micro helps lighten the red marks but it takes about 2 months to really see a difference. Neither helped control my acne so I didn't want to treat the after effects of a zit...but rather treat the zit altogether. So I went on tane and now everything is handy dandy. I'm thinking of using epiquin micro for my brown marks now but my skin is still too sensitive to be using any type of topicals on it. I think I might give it 2 months before I start to treat the red marks. Good luck!

In Topic: 60mg to 120mg today......what to expect

31 August 2006 - 10:17 PM

I was on 60mg of sotret then got switched to 80mg of claravis. My skin was actually less dry on 80mg of clarvis for some reason and I had a few whiteheads...but that wasn't much of a problem. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the generics or maybe my body reacts to a sotret better? Btw, the claravis packaging felt really cheap for some reason lol. The Sotret ones were like the Roche Accutane type.
