#3233258 Is Anyone Else Sick To Death Of Always Thinking About Clear Skin

Posted by Thehoper on 10 April 2012 - 08:52 PM

Haha totally relate to the OP's post.  Used to do all that shit.  White/Red definitely the worst colors to wear.  It's crazy how people without acne really don't understand how acne can literally ruin a life.  Completely messes with your head.  I would do wishes for birthday cakes and what not, or putting coins into fountains, every time I wished to have clear skin by my next wish, did that for years.

I say it in a lot of threads but I gotta say it again.  I got totally fed up with how f'ed my skin looked from the chemicals doctors and what not give you.  Go natural, let your skin heal, say goodbye to terrible complexion/blotchiness/severe acne, your skin will look so much better if you let it heal by not washing or touching it at all for several days and then only wash once a day with distilled water/sea salt/acv.  I've also been eating completely clean for a couple years now, but my life is 100% different.  If I get pimples they are small and hardly noticeable, NOTHING like how my skin was when on all that crap.  Acne now doesn't effect me because my skin looks completely normal, a lot of people with acne also have superficial looking skin because of all the crap they put on it.

^^Wow your a real messed person.  It's a damn good thing people around here are actually intelligent!  Haha could you imagine if people listened to you?  What a scary world that would be..

There were countless sources for the information about leaky gut/acne/gut connection.  If you actually read the article which was very long, you would know this.  People did take their time with the drugs doctors give out for acne, that's why we are here.  Because of years of scams and bullshit that opened our eyes to the real way to cure and prevent disease, within yourself.  WebMD scientists say that over 90% of ALL HEALTH ILLNESSES are due to diet.  The big corporations bring out this processed easy to eat food on the go since they want their robotic sheep to never stop moving now a days, but after you develop cancer, heart disease or any of the other diseases on the menu they then turn around and say hey we can fix that!  Take these drugs!  Fascinating how the FDA controls our food and medicine isn't it?  Wow what opening your eyes can do.

The last thing the government wants is for everyone to start eating healthy.  Abandon their man made crap?  How would they profit billions of dollars for their lambos and whores?  And if everyone was eating healthy and normal what would they do if their pharmaceutical profits fractioned to nothing?  You do know cancer, heart disease, diabetes and most other well known diseases in america are NON EXISTENT in NORMAL eating cultures?  Diet has everything to do with the human body and health, to say not means to say your completely uneducated on the matter.

#3216914 Ancient Remedies

Stumbled on this article and thought it was pretty cool, thought ya'll would want to read it, it's always good to learn from the past.

Ancient Remedies for Acne

Jun 10, 2010 | By Anthony Grahame

Natural acne remedies can offer a good alternative to more modern treatments. There are many alternative remedies to choose from, but few people realize how old some of these remedies actually are. A number of these treatments were used thousands of years ago by people of ancient cultures. Just like people today, they sought to cure the irritation caused by acne.

Olive Leaf

Olive leaves and olive leaf extracts were used in ancient Greece as a treatment for acne. According to the Acne Treatment 2020 website, olive leaf extract, when taken internally, "can help your liver eliminate harmful toxins, regulate hormones and kill molds that can cause acne from the inside." It can also help to eradicate acne bacteria when applied topically.

Licorice Root

The ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Chinese used licorice root for its healing properties. As stated by the Family Health Guide website, "Licorice root extract possesses natural anti-inflammatory agents that may soothe skin affected by acne."
Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is a traditional remedy used by Australian aboriginals to treat cuts, burns and other skin conditions. DocShop.com highlights a 1990 study by The Medical Journal of Australia that compared a tea tree oil solution with a modern benzoyl peroxide solution. It was found that the tea tree oil solution was slower to act upon acne, but over a longer time frame it was as effective as benzoyl peroxide, but with fewer side effects.
Green Tea

Green tea has been used as a medicinal remedy by the Chinese for over 4,000 years. Green tea extract contains antioxidants that help to protect the skin from the bacterial infections that can cause acne. The Acne Treatment 2020 website highlights a popular Asian remedy for acne, a mixture of green tea and honeysuckle known as "pimple tea."

Ayurveda is an ancient medicinal system that originated in India. Ayurvedic acne treatments focus open diet as a way to rid the body of acne-causing toxins. DocShop.com relates the ayurvedic advice given by macrobiotic chef Christina Pirello. She states that acne sufferers should change their diet to one rich in vegetables, whole grains and beans.

Kampo is a Japanese medical system based on the study of ancient Chinese medicines. Kampo medicine makes use of anti-inflammatory and antibacterial ingredients, specifically those of an herbal nature. According to the Skin Care Reviews website, Kampo acne treatments feature herbs such as angelica root, licorice root, peony root and mint.
Kukui Nut

Kukui nut oil has been used as an acne remedy in Hawaii for the past few hundred years. The oil has a number of medicinal uses, largely due to its high nutrient content. The DocShop website states that kukui nut oil is easily absorbed and is "a good source of anti-inflammatory essential fatty acids."

#3181022 Hey All, Just Want To Update My Status/journey

Posted by Thehoper on 15 November 2011 - 10:18 PM

Hey urbody.  Hope everyone is coming along well, clearing up and learning great info on the way. Someone messaged me asking for the diet I use and I thought after replying to him to update everyone else.  For some time now I've been on the Kitava  diet and still doing it to this day.  Basically what I eat are plenty of tubers including sweet potatoes, yams and cassivas, eggs, organic salt free peanut butter, chia seeds, hemp seeds, cacao, plenty of coconut in different forms flour/shreds/oil, berries and bananas, veggies, spices and a gallon of purified water daily.

A couple months ago I actually made a big jump in my life and moved across the country. :) Moved to Phoenix Arizona and have been lovin it.  The weather is very different lol and I'm glad as I love the heat.  Back in NY being very humid and usually cold, to hot and dry is a big change.  It definitely has made a difference in my skin texture as well.  Before I was washing my face nightly with purified water/sea salt/ACV which I still do, except now I only have to do it every 2-3 days, as my skin doesn't need to be exfoliated as much out here.

It's been a year now since I've made the change to complete diet revamp, and it feels good to have come this long.  As I look at pics of me just a year ago it's crazy how far my skin has come.  I still get the occasional pimple here, but I just put some sea salt/water on it and within a day or two it's gone.  Coming from very severe acne just a year ago, it's pretty amazing what diet can do.

I know there are a lot of people out there who are trying different diets to see what works for them, and what else to do.  My advice is to keep testing foods out, as knowledge is power, and eventually you will find what works for you.  I also still highly suggest only washing your face with purified/RO water and sea salt, with occasional ACV.  Mix the ingredients in a small container, take a tissue, and just softly massage your skin in circles.  And leave it on, don't wash off.  In the morning you can just wash with pure water/tissue if ya want.

Anywho.. peace and love, adios amigosPosted Image

#3053561 Better Grains and grain substitutes

Posted by Thehoper on 22 March 2011 - 12:00 PM

that's really interesting about the oats fermenting.  I'll have to try that.  I do realize the longer I slow cook my steel cut oats or the scottish oatmeal I ate before the more the flavor came out.

There are a ton of gluten free grains that are amazing, I suggest anyone interested to try them out.

Quinoa, steel cut oats, millet, buckwheat, teff, check out bob red mills.  They make the best high quality stuff, and very professional business.
