tanning process

23 June 2010 - 11:42 AM

I have sensitive skin. After using every topical under the sun with horrible results, I think I'm giving up on topicals. My skin is always better in the summer. However, now that my shoulders/back and chest are so bad, I don't even want to go out into the sun to help it.. wayy to embarassing.

Anyway.. I'm trying tanning. I went for the first time today. Does anyone have any tips for what to do before and after tanning? I know skin should be clean beforehand, but should I shower right after? Also, lotions... will they clog pores? Are there any particular lotions I should use?

Any advice would be very much appreciated smile.gif

ps: I am well aware of the dangers of tanning.. so please, no need to fill me in on that. I'm just looking for advice on the tanning process smile.gif

freshening up face at work?

09 March 2010 - 08:40 AM

I'm a waitress and sometimes I work up to 10 hour shifts. Since I am running around all day, my makeup (bare minerals) sweats off i guess. Once in a while I'll re-apply once during a shift, but apparently thats bad (cause i don't blot) oops!

So my question is, how can I fix my face before re-applying makeup? Do I just use some toilet paper and blot? And if so, how often? Anyone have any suggestions on how I can keep my face looking well (while actually being well) during the day? Because, god help me, but I look like a MESS at the end of the day sad.gif. It really sucks too because my co-worker is super hot, haha.

So any tips on how to "freshen up" at work would be extremely helpful!! thanks smile.gif
