On Differin 0.1% For 3 Months, Should I Change To 0.3%

18 October 2014 - 08:34 AM

So I've been on Differin 0.1% for 3 months but I've seen no change.

Here is a picture of my skin: http://i.imgur.com/z9mYDmV.jpg

Should I ask my dermatologist to change to 0.3%. Will it make a difference?

I don't want to try accutane because of the potential side effects.

Dry Lips And Breakout After 8 Weeks Of Differin

28 September 2014 - 10:28 AM

Hi everyone,

I have been on Differin for 8 weeks and have suddenly got very dry lips over the last few days as well as a breakout of spots on my face. They have also appeared on my cheeks where I never normally get acne. I recently started drinking milk again after not having it for a year and I was ordering whether it could be that or an IB from Differin. 8 weeks seems like a long time before an IB though.

Any thoughts? Thanks

6 Weeks Of Differin 0.1

10 September 2014 - 02:08 PM

Hi everyone,

I have now been 6 weeks of Differin 0.1 but haven't really seen any change so far.

I don't so much have acne but I have a very uneven, patchy complexion, oily skin, large pores and blackheads.

I just wanted some reassurance that I should still keep going.

I haven't really received an IB. I only got an acne break out the day after I went out for a work night and I think that was most probably due to drinking a fair amount of alcohol.

Is or has anyone been in the same position?

Thinking About Getting Hormones Tested

17 July 2014 - 03:00 PM

I am thinking about getting my hormones tested but I was wondering if someone could outline the procedure. What actually happens and what is actually tested? I know that hormones can definitely apply to women due to cycles but I am male. Do male hormones fluctuate?

Any information would be great. Thank you.

Finding A Dermatologist

14 July 2014 - 02:30 PM

I'm not sure where this so I'll put it in the general forum but what I'm looking to do is find a qualified dermatologist to look at my skin and give me me one on one advice on what to do next.

I'm sick of trying more and more things and seeing no results so my question is how do you guys go about finding someone? Is it just a google search? I want to find someone who is actually good at their job rather than someone who has average experience who will take my money and offer medicare advice.

Any replies would be grateful, thank you.
