In Topic: Whiteheads

Hey everyone,

Quick question.. today is exactly two months for me being on the Regimen. I still have red scaring/spots, but I am also having a severe breakout of whiteheads daily on my chin. I keep having a vicious cycle of trying to clear the whiteheads and the red spots with both BP and AHA. I don't know if one or the other is making the area worse or not. I was just wondering if other people are having a similar problem or have any advice. I told myself I would stick with the Regimen for the complete 3months, but it's getting frustrating that i'm not getting a break from the whiteheads or the red spots/scaring,

Stop the aha for now and just use the bp and see if those whiteheads stop. Both of those may be over-exfoliating your skin right now.

In Topic: To Wear Or Not To Wear A Tank Top

Letting your skin breath is probably a good thing, but don't get a sunburn. I don't think it's a big deal, when I was at a park the other day the guys working at the lake all had acne and they didn't seem to be trying to cover it up.

There is a difference though between having a few spots, and actual acne (Unless you meant like 15-20 pimples on the body). I have not seen a person with actual acne on their back who wore tanktops

Ok so because you haven't seen it that means people don't? I saw a guy who had body acne and his face was covered in acne.

I know males in their 40s+ that still get acne.

In Topic: Certain Dry On Your Face?

Hello, does anyone have an experience using the OTC anti-perspirant Certain Dry?

My dermatologist recommended I try this ON MY FACE lol to help with my oily skin. Based on what I know about the chemical in it (aluminum chloride) and the risks associated with anti-perspirants in general, I'm inclined to think my Derm is an idiot and this is a tremendously bad idea.

Anyone ever tried this? Thanks.

I have oily skin, sweat a lot and have told my dermatologist about it and she never recommended putting anti-perspirant on my face. I think I have seen forums on here about others doing that though. My dermatologist just gave me some power, but I still wouldn't put it on my face. I've uesd this before and it works well at absorbing oil though. I know other brands make similar things. http://www.mariobade...-healing-powder

Yeah I can't believe he recommended it. At first I though it was a joke and then he wrote it down for me LOL.

And thanks for the tip, I'll look into that powder. Is it noticeable when it's on your face? I'm a dude and it's a big hit to my pride to have to wear anything that resembles makeup, and it'd be twice a bad if others could tell haha.

No it isn't visible, just makes your skin look really matte and you only need to use a small amount. It'll last a long time too. I have heard of people using pure potassium alum, you use it like a toner and it helps slow oil production, but I've never had any experience with that.
