#3303763 Feeling Guilty About Not Having Acne

Posted by tritonxiv on 19 November 2012 - 05:19 PM

If you want to feel guilty about something, there are FAR more important issues around the world that us 'privileged' folk do a great job of ignoring.

Do some research and perhaps your 'guilt' might lead you somewhere of worth.

#3290554 What Helps Your Extremely Oily Skin? Sensible Answers Only.

Posted by tritonxiv on 28 September 2012 - 04:11 PM

When you "wash" your face (which you really shouldn't), you're getting rid of dead skin cells. Dead skin cells provide a naturally dull matte-like surface because of their uneven texture. The ability to hold oil in the space between the dead skin cells also aids in the concealment of the sebum you produce. When you wash your face, you eliminate this dead skin cell layer, and the oil has nowhere to go except right to the surface.

I agree with Bryan. Washing your face has no bearing on the amount of sebum your body will produce, but will effect how oily your skin appears.

#3274703 Epa Reverses Position! Admits Fluoride Is Dangerous!

Posted by tritonxiv on 09 August 2012 - 11:37 AM

Where did I say fluoride is not toxic? I said several times that the toxicity of fluoride has been known for decades.

You have a serious reading comprehension problem sir. I distinctly acknowledged your belief that fluoride is toxic. We are in complete agreement on that and always have been. These are my exact words:

I find it despicable when someone like you agrees with an important health issue, (the toxicity of fluoride) but decides to convolute the issue at the expense of other people's health.

If you read that sentence very slowly and very carefully, you will see that I fully acknowledge your stance on fluoride. It seems you are the one who is creating arguments out of nothing, by misrepresenting what I say; "straw man" arguments, if you will.

How exactly am I convoluting the issue? By not considering EPA a criminal organization? By not thinking that everything the government does is pure evil?

You are convoluting the issue by playing political games. We are not here to discuss everything government does and does not lie about. That is an exercise in folly, because ultimately, it dosen't matter.

The government lies sometimes. That is a fact. For any rational person, that is enough to question the integrity of everything that the government states. It is not a blanket statement that you have to reject everything they tell you. It's simply a reason why you should do your own research and decide for yourself what you believe to be true. Take everything into consideration from all sources before reaching your own personal conclusion.

I am here to inform people about the dangers of fluoride based on knowledge you and I both agree on. The only person here who is being hostile and detrimental to that effort is you. I am going to focus on the positive and accept that we both agree on the dangers of fluoride and be happy that we may help inform some people who may not be aware of that fact.

I wish you a good day sir.

The EPA did indeed reverse it's position by going from a claim that fluoride is fully beneficial, to admitting it's actually dangerous, especially for children. That should be good enough for anyone with a basic mental capacity to research and select fluoride-free alternatives. Especially those of you with young children....

If you are complaining that government isn't doing enough to back up it's statements, you're clearly missing the point of this post.

If you expect something is going to change, regardless of when and what government agencies admit, you don't understand the point of this post.

The point of this post is to highlight that: Doing your OWN research and taking your OWN informed actions are the only ways to protect yourself from fluoride, and a myriad of other dangerous issues we are being bombarded with on a daily basis.

If you're just sitting there, waiting for daddy government to take actions that are in your best interest, I'm afraid you are going to be sitting for an awfully long time...

Stop acting indignant and start encouraging others to think and act for themselves. Spread knowledge and awareness to those you love.

Good day to you all.

This vindicates the "conspiracy theorists" who have been shouting the truth about fluoride for decades!

Just for those that don't know.... A conspiracy theorist is someone who dosen't agree with the official "status quo" and is publicly ridiculed for not going along with the crowd. The "status quo" is usually dictated by government officials, politicians, doctors, scientists, etc.

Unfortunately, most people blindly accept anything an authority figure tells them. The average person never bothers to do their own research or ask follow-up questions.

This is why people in positions of power can get away with lying all the bloody time. No one ever says "enough is enough".

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

"Top scientists" and "doctors" have been actively lying about the dangers of fluoride for decades... Will the public finally wake up and realize they can't put faith into these government sell-outs any longer?? Unfortunately, most people will remain ignorant and apathetic by choice...

But for those of you with the courage to go against the status quo... You will be rewarded with the knowledge needed to protect yourselves and your loved ones in the days ahead.

#3272102 Iodine: Friend Or Foe? My Iodine Research And Log

Posted by tritonxiv on 02 August 2012 - 04:53 PM

I would only recommend and will only personally consume home-based steam-distilled water.

The "minerals" found in spring water and any other non-evaporation-based filtration process will contain various amounts of inorganic elements (from tiny particulates broken off from bedrock, to pharmaceutical drugs, to nano-particles). These are arguably dangerous because they are unusable by the chemical pathways in your system and will accumulate or calcify in various parts of your body.  Over time, this accumulation may cause bone diseases, thyroid issues, and other various problems.

Even if someone were to believe inorganic minerals were potentially helpful, the amounts of these minerals in the water are so minute that they add almost nothing to the daily allowance of any essential nutrient. If I was going to choose additional supplementation outside my natural diet, I'd want know exactly what additives I was ingesting, rather than trusting the judgement of some random water company. Radioactive particulates from the ongoing Fukashima disaster are also a concern, and unless you have a geiger counter, you're once again at the mercy of the business you're purchasing from.

So then we come into water filtration methods. Rather than go into a lengthy discussion about the pros and cons of each, I'll only restate the conclusion I have come to after much research.

Home-based steam distillation is the only 100% effective way to ensure you are drinking the purest, cleanest water possible.

Taking Accutane increases inter-cranial pressure which is likely the reason you have been having such a dramatic change in dreams after you've stopped. I have experienced it before.

I've taken Accutane breaks much longer than this before. I have never experienced such dreams (except in my childhood).

Recent Accutane use also completely invalidates any sort of claim that Iodine has cured your acne, when clearly it hasn't as it has returned.

Do you even read my posts? I very explicitly stated two posts above your own:

I'm not going to claim I've cured anything.

So I'd appreciate it if you didn't put words into my mouth. Thanks.

Not to rain on your "parade," but I would like you to stop posting in this thread if your results cannot be validated due to all of the other variables you are throwing in. All too often, people are misled to something that may not help them. Make a log if you want to detail this. Thanks.

From the very beginning I have explicitly detailed all of the supplements I utilize alongside Iodine. I am not trying "mislead" anyone. I believe people are smart enough to take all of these posts for what they are worth, which is anecdotal evidence. Not many people have taken iodine, so I feel consolidated observations of persons supplementing this substance might be helpful. Furthermore, this thread was created in the health and nutrition section of the boards, not in the personal logs section. As such, I feel I have every right to continue posting my experiences with iodine here, and will continue to do so.

Posted by tritonxiv on 26 July 2012 - 10:22 PM

and... what happened?

With regards to acne, nothing! I noticed no change in my acne, bad or good.

It does alleviate my hyperhydrosis however, so the original purpose of the medication was a resounding success  Posted Image

conclusion: SMT D002 is not oxybutynin chloride.

Yep, probably not. I gave up my low dose Accutane and have moved on to other more natural solutions.

any updates brahs?

As of now, I have no acne. Oil levels are normalized. Energy and overall feeling of wellness is fantastic. This regimen seems to be working very well for me.

I cannot discount the fact that accutane is still in my system, so I'm not willing to make any broad claims about the regimen's efficacy on my acne. With regards to overall health however, there is no doubt in my mind.
