#3303763 Feeling Guilty About Not Having Acne

Posted by tritonxiv on 19 November 2012 - 05:19 PM

If you want to feel guilty about something, there are FAR more important issues around the world that us 'privileged' folk do a great job of ignoring.

Do some research and perhaps your 'guilt' might lead you somewhere of worth.

#3290554 What Helps Your Extremely Oily Skin? Sensible Answers Only.

Posted by tritonxiv on 28 September 2012 - 04:11 PM

When you "wash" your face (which you really shouldn't), you're getting rid of dead skin cells. Dead skin cells provide a naturally dull matte-like surface because of their uneven texture. The ability to hold oil in the space between the dead skin cells also aids in the concealment of the sebum you produce. When you wash your face, you eliminate this dead skin cell layer, and the oil has nowhere to go except right to the surface.

I agree with Bryan. Washing your face has no bearing on the amount of sebum your body will produce, but will effect how oily your skin appears.

#3269867 I'm Starting Smt D002 (Oxybutynin Chloride)

Posted by tritonxiv on 26 July 2012 - 10:22 PM

and... what happened?

With regards to acne, nothing! I noticed no change in my acne, bad or good.

It does alleviate my hyperhydrosis however, so the original purpose of the medication was a resounding success  Posted Image

conclusion: SMT D002 is not oxybutynin chloride.

Yep, probably not. I gave up my low dose Accutane and have moved on to other more natural solutions.

The longer I live, the more importance I find in pausing life, looking inward, and simply "listening". Many of life's answers can be found from within.

#3258822 Repairing the long-term damage from Accutane

Posted by tritonxiv on 23 June 2012 - 10:06 PM

Hmmm... I've just had a thought.

What if someone were to donate a bunch of accutane pills (In the name of science) and actually had them cracked open and tested in a laboratory for analysis. (Blind study... don't tell them what they are looking at.)

Perhaps we aren't being told the whole story with regards to what is contained inside.... (Happens more often than not) And perhaps that could shed some light on what's happening to people who suffer severe reactions to such compounds... and possibly open the doorway to a treatment.

Just a thought...

Don't let this drug hold you back.
Don't let it narrow your mind into thinking you've lost everything and have no future.
Several days ago, when I made that video, I wanted to be dead.

Now, I feel on top of the world.

But hey, it's 1am... I'm off to bed.

Take care of yourselves.

This is your best post on these boards. Nice to hear you and your lady are back together.

Corruption and lies in government are nothing new. I don't know why you are surprised?

Why don't you guys capitalize on this organic revolution and start your own farms!

#3244601 Odd Reaction On Accutane

Posted by tritonxiv on 14 May 2012 - 01:37 PM

Yes I do get this, but it's only when I don't take enough accutane. 10mg is way too low for me (I need a minimum of 40mg) Else I start to get those itchy bumps, which eventually evolve back into acne when I stop accutane completely.

#3244244 Your Definetly Not The Only One With Acne Scars

Posted by tritonxiv on 13 May 2012 - 12:42 PM

I know this is meant to be a feel good thread, but give me a break.  That someone else has the same problem does nothing to address the fact that you are here to try to correct your scars.

I think the point of this post is that if you let go of your insecurities, and use this time and money to go the extra mile in your professional / personal life, it can have great results. You can achieve success and happiness no matter what your face looks like. It's only your mind that holds you back.

#3241749 Repairing the long-term damage from Accutane

Posted by tritonxiv on 06 May 2012 - 12:43 PM

I didn't really care to read the last couple of pages but are you actually blaming Accutane for gum receding now? Also, trying to get Accutane banned is probably not the best action route. Good luck though buddy lol

I've determined this thread has turned into an all encompassing smorgasborg of hypochondriasis with accutane as the sole scapegoat for all of life's problems.

Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with people doing what they do, but when people start preaching how accutane is the devil and should be banned... Well I have a huge problem with that. After 9 years taking accutane, I can safely say that most of these "problems" are not in any way related to a drug they took for four months. These guys and gals should really seek some counseling. Breast lactations to treat post-accutane "problems"?!!? Come on now....

#3237551 What Cant You Wait To Do Once You Get Clear Skin?

Posted by tritonxiv on 23 April 2012 - 04:53 PM

Thinking like this is detrimental in my opinion.

You can and should do everything with acne, because if you don't you're simply wasting your life away.

Acne dosen't physically prevent you from doing anything, only your mind does that.

The only thing being acne free will allow you to do is have less negative feelings and anxiety, but there will always be negative feelings to cope with in life, whether you have acne or not.

I hope you and everyone else stand strong and not let this horrible condition prevent you from living up to your potential.

Cheers.
