In Topic: Acne All Over Face After Drinking Vegetable Juice ?

18 January 2014 - 09:52 PM

YEA SO LETS BLAME THE VEGETABLES AND FRUIT FOR OUR ACNE

fml smh

One of the largest contributors and diet proponents on this forum gets cysts from eating oranges.

Acne has a multitude of causes, and what's true for one is not necessarily true for another.

If the veggie juice is causing a negative reaction, stop drinking it.

This has been working consistently for me for many months now. It is definitely worth a try for anyone serious about finding the root cause of their acne.

In Topic: Documentary On Genetically Modified Foods (They're Deadly & We Eat Em)

Your remarks are, as always, completely invalid because GM products to not increase the amount of food available to starving children in underdeveloped countries or anywhere else.

Thanks for that. Anyways, Bill Gates has pledged and donated more than 120 million to GM foods and their research. So yes, his donation alone will increase the production of GM foods.

Even if you don't believe that GM foods offer increased output at a lower cost, (Which is just nonsense, by the way) you will appreciate that his donations to third world countries will continue to make GM the most viable solution to saving the lives of MILLIONS in the next decade or so.

Honestly, how can you people sacrifice everything to further your agenda, even the lives of children.... makes me sick.

Bill Gates: a man with some common sense
:
“I think the right way to think about GMOs is the same way we think about drugs,” Gates told the AP. “Whenever someone creates a new drug, you have to have very smart people looking at lots of trial-based data to make sure the benefits far outweigh any of the dangers.”

HEY!! Its not drugs!!! its the worlds food supply. Genetically modified crops are invasive to neighboring organic gardens. The pollen itself is a pollen that would absolutely never occur in nature, the genes are forced together with a gun using viruses and bacteria to invade the organisms natural barrier against foreign genes. When the farmers seed gets contaminated by GM pollen, they are forced to buy seed over again to stay organic. This type of breeding is NOTHING like what humans have been doing for ages. YES people should not be hungry, so feed the hungry. take it to the starving. Its extravagantly irresponsible to let this go unchecked, to force all consumers in america to eat food that isn't even real; to treat us like straight up lab rats for practically the biggest scientific experiment in human history.

The theory behind GMOs is sound. Computers and cell phones are completely unnatural and yet I bet dollars to doughnuts you own and greatly utilize both of those "unnatural" creations. You  wouldn't be able to interact with us if you didn't.

Are useless and potentially harmful GMO variants being used in terrible ways to monopolize the agricultural industry? The answer to that is an obvious yes.

Can the theory behind GMOs be utilized to engineer foods that have enormous benefits for humankind. The answer to that is also yes.

Will it happen? In the near future, probably not. But GMOs themselves are not the evil here. It's the corporations who care less for the properties of the plant, than they do of the ability to patent it's genome and monopolize it for profit.

Not gonna trawl through all 49 pages but "9. Don't apply your moisturizer over areas of your face that are not dry. Applying moisturizer where it is not needed can increase the risk of clogged pores by mixing with excess sebum and "gluing" dead skin cells to the skin's surface." is a pretty bad tip; if you don't moisturise oily skin it'll continue to be excessively oily because it isn't hydrated.

It has been strongly suggested that "Moisturizing" alone has no effect on the amount of sebum produced by your sebaceous glands.

It's strange you lament that sebum "glues" dead skin cells to the skin's  surface because that's exactly what the mineral oil in moisturizer does! Only in this case you're stripping the skin's natural oil through "washing" and "exfoliation" and replacing it with substances that are unnatural to the body!

As you might have guessed, I practice what I preach. I do not wash my face, use any products, nor do I exfoliate. It takes a long time for the skin to adjust to this "cave man" regimen, but once it does, the results are impressive.
