...... just wondered how old you have to be before you 'grow out' of acne!!

Seems like a stupid question but im 38 and have NEVER been as bad as i am now..... hormone levels can get worse as u get older but i cant recall ever seeing any '40 something' year old people with acne...... can you get acne in the menopause?

i'm still looking for something that works for ME.... maybe i'll find it by the time im 40 - maybe i wont!

25 and still dealing with it. There are several members over 30 here and will be able to totally relate!

I keep waiting to grow out of it, too. So far, no luck. *sigh*

If it's not severe, why not try Dan's regimen? IDK if it's great for adult acne but I'm 16 and it's been working great for me.
JESUS CHRIST OWNS.
As do Linkin Park, Underoath, and Dan Kern on a smaller scale.

I don't know who to trust, no surprise.
Everyone feels so far away from me...
Heavy throughts sift through dust and the lies.
Trying not to break, but I'm so tired of this deciet,
Everytime I try to make myself get back up on my feet
All I ever think about is this, all the tiring time between,
and how trying to put my trust in you just takes so much out of me...
Take everything from the inside, and throw it all away,
for the last time, I WON'T TRUST MYSELF WITH YOU.

I'm 35 and still the same as the last few years. When I was 28 my derm at the time told me not to worry, I would grow out of it by 30. Sigh.

I am 46 and still deal with it. Now it is not as bad as when I was a teen but I still break out but now its on my neck, hat those buggers! so hard to get rid of there, seems like bp only makes them worse. Doubt that I will ever "outgrow" it.

38 also and have been dealing with acne since I was 12. My breakouts aren't nearly as severe, and I now realize the things I was doing to "help" it back then actually worsened it, but- yes, I wonder the same thing. It seems like nobody my age still gets breakouts!

jgold, what were those "things" you were doing? I'd really appreciate if you could share so i can avoid them LOL.

I have had acne since I was 14 and it peaked at 15 and slowly improved and now at 16, without medication I don't have many breakout compared to a year or so ago.

My mom still has acne, She would freak if I told her age, but I'm 18 almost 19, and still suffering too. I guess some people never grow out of it. My mom has dry skin, and I have super oily skin. I guess acne can hit every skin type....
