39. Talk to me next year....party time!

After remaining clear for around 1.5 years following DKR (The Regimen), in March 2013 I decided to change to Epiduo. I use a pea size amount of epiduo each night, followed by a layer of topical antibiotic (Eryacne). I also apply Eryacne every morning and moisturise twice a day. After switching to Epiduo from the regimen I found that it took a good 3 months to get back to being perfectly clear again and now I might get one small pimple appear per month. I can live with that

I started following Dan's Regimen in September 2011 after suffering with acne for 20 years or so. I followed the Regimen instructions exactly and became 100% clear within 9-11 weeks. In December 2011 and after being consistently clear for over a month, I started to slowly reduce the amount of BP I used until I was only applying BP at night. My skin still remained clear however I sometimes switched to applying BP twice a day for a few days (perhaps once a month) if I felt a few under skin bumps starting to come up. I used acne.org products (including AHA and jojoba oil) and sometimes cetaphil moisturiser at night if I felt my skin was especially dry. In the gallery I show my week by week progress following the regimen.

26 in Jan. When I was a teenager, my skin was acne free. I mean, it was very nice and smooth. I always felt lucky and appreciative. My best friend in high school had terrible acne, but I never once brought it up or said anything about it because I know he hated it deep down inside. I'm not sure what happened. I'm in pre-med, so I'm STRESSED out, but I also stress about the acne which can't help.

I've started on the regimen for the first time last week. I'm hoping in 3 months, my skin will look great!

i'm 28. My Acne tends to get worse when i'm stressed but this tends to happen at least once a year (i've had panic attacks/anxiety for a long time now) so... i guess i'm gonna try and manage it as best i can!

Wow! This is old thread. Those who posted in 2006 is 5-6 years old.. darn!! I'm 25. I think I am close to stop getting acne. I did broke out with a lot of small zits 4-5 days ago, but they're completely gone. I think that's a sign that I wil stop getting acne soon... My Dad, grandpa, etc.. stopped getting acne into their 20's. I'm a vegan who eats 98% raw and I do still break out with small pimples.

Best way to make your skin smooth and clear eventually:

Plant-based diet is the best medicine for everything.. That's if you consume at least 80% raw, mainly from veggies and fruits.

Exercising: cardio is great for skin and lifting a bit.

Thinking positive and try not to stress or think about acne.

I am doing these and my skin is currently very smooth and clearing up!

I am a vegan raw 100%. I feel better, have more energy, saving animals a year, glow skin, I look younger, etc.

20,and although this section is supposed to be for 25 and older, I'm going to count myself in,because I was clear as a teen until I got acne until going on birth control...went downhill from there.
