Hi Super,

Spider veins run in my family. I have a few on the corner of my nose. Although I haven't had any treatment(s) to improve my condition, my father has. He went to a Dermatologist and they injected them. So far the results have been successful. You might want to make an appointment and see what they offer.

Best of luck to you. smile.gif

i heard that vitamin k can help fade broken blood vessels/veins.. a lot of sites say that 5% vitamin k cream will help fade/eliminate them.. i dont think it will eliminate them but im just hoping for something to reduce them.. has anyone had any luck with vitamin k creams?

now im really confused.. im not even sure if its a spider vein anymore.. when i look closer in the mirror.. it looks like that the blue veins on the outer part of my eyes connect with the red veins in the inner part of my eye.. how in the hell can a vein be part red and part blue.. has anyone heard of anything like this before?

Time is a great healer, I think they will go soon. They are not like scars from what you have said, i reckon they will go.

I know how you feel when you wake in the morning, you wish your scars would just disapear. But they don't. I feel your anger and depression, and i pray that we can all get through this together in life.

i dont know if they will go away.. but my eyes are driving me absolutely nuts.. im only 16 and trust me.. this is a lot worse than acne.. you guys can think you have it bad with acne.. but i have veins under my eyes that are 2 different colors.. combine that with a ton of fine lines under my eyes and trust me.. you guys with acne got it easy.. this is much worse i think.. my acne doesnt even bother me compared to this.

I tried a cream called Capillary Clear http://www.body-care...s-treatment.htm with vit K, but against my better judgement I followed their instructions of applying hot towels to my face morning and night before applying and my skin ended up much worse……I could curse the stuff evil.gif . Who knows, it may have helped a little if they hadn’t put that stupid advice but I’m too upset with it to try it again. I’m waiting on v-beam.

If they persist you could look into diathermy /schlerotherapy as Miss Prolixity mentioned above. Diathermy uses electric current while sclero injects some solution, but both procedures can require more than one treatment. A beautician explained that sometimes the smaller the capillaries are, the more persistant they can be too. My cousin had bigger capillaries than me on his face and he required only one treatment of schlerotherapy to make them disappear. V-beam is supposed to be great for red capillaries but wouldn’t pick up the blue.

I dont understand the condition your describing. Are the veins below your eyes and in your eyes? Dark circles??
There are newer technologies out there that can safely remove the veins. If interested consult with a doctor that treats facial veins. In particular, I believe that a 1064 yag laser is used for this condition. Need to find someone with experience and only have a doctor do the procedure not a nurse or someone else. Other lasers(light) like an IPL may help the condition but consult with a vein specialist or a cosmetic laser derm/doc. For more info goto to the rosacea message group at yahoo.
