Most of these scars are reddish and THEY DO NOT HEAL!!!

Any Advice?

Can't really answer about spyrx, but the Elicina I've been on for almost five months works extremely well on the redness...and I've seen significant improvment on all my scars. Not gone mind you, but noticeably improved...but maybe that's because I've been at it for five months, too....

I think the consensus around here is to keep at it for atleast six months..

Confirmed, Sycream is a ripoff.

Treatments that worked for me were hydroquinone and glycolic acid. However, more than any chemical, I believe suntans help the most in hiding the scars. Don't overdo it, though.

Greg, did you try Sycream yourself?

I have about exactly 2 months to go with the suggested 6 month use and I really can't honestly say that there's been great improvement. Some of the shallower scars look like they're gone one day, but there the next. It has helped with some reddish marks that I have on my one cheek which I attribute to shaving, but I think what I may have mistaken for improvement was actually that my scarring wasn't so bad in the first place.

I'm really happy that it worked for Gus, but I have to see anybody else go ape wild over its results. It appears like it's becoming more of a placebo fad more than anything else, or it just might depend on the person (check out the those who swear by Elicina). As it stands, I have 2 months to go, and don't really expect any amazing changes in the next 8 weeks if they didn't occur in the previous 16.

I think it has to be used with the scar sheets for the best results. I find them to be a great comination - and my skin has taken on a much more smoother almost plasticy look - maybe its coz I use so much of it - a 2 oz. bottle lasts about a month - I use it like a moisturiser, and I rub it in until its completely absorbed into my skin. About 1/2 hour later I put the sheets on.

Nope, sorry. My comment was referring to Sierra's pictures of "improvements" caused by Sycream. I have always thought the product to be a ripoff.

I really kind of regretted my last post the minute I pushed the submit button. It's not to say that I haven't had improvements, but it's just hard to be patient and I'm not really sure if Sycream works on deeper, pitted scars. Yes, most definitely, if you do use Sycream, it is much better to use the sheets while you're at it, if just to speed up any kind of improvement you might see.

It's just I don't want to give people the wrong impression that the stuff will work miracles since I've had some people become interested in the stuff just through my talking about it. I mean, I'm willing to give any advice and speak through experience to help anybody, but the worst thing I fear is people running out and buying something I'm not completely sure about myself through my inane posting on this site.

So, as it stand, in another 8 weeks, I'll be able to give a conclusive answer to how Sycream worked for me. In the meantime, I hope nobody takes any of my banter as a means to considering what kind of scar treatment they're going to pursue. I still am in the guinea pig stage as it is.

Have you seen any results with the elicina cream? What type of scars do you have? Does it work for pitted scars?

Oh well, it's been nearly 5 months with the Sycream, and I gave my skin a good hard look today......really, no difference at all. I still have about 5 weeks before the recommended 6 month trial period is up, but the middle of my forehead still has a bunch of little ice pick scars and the scars underneath my one eye are still there.

I'm not too broken up over this news, since it would be irrational to think that miracles could be done with a cream. However, I really wanted to avoid laser surgery or chemical peels, but since I am now convinced that I will never be truly happy until I get rid of these scars, I'm going to have to look into these options. At least I won't need to get my whole face done, but I wouldn't mind improving the overall texture of my face.....if this damn acne would just finally go away for once :D

So the way I look at things: don't bother with Syprex or Sycream. Feels kind of stupid now since we had such a huge debate on the old boards some months ago  But at least I tried!

OK heres another update...

http://www.geocities...k2/update3.html

This is after removing the scar sheet after having it on for most of the day. I think I see some improvents but when the cream is completely washed off it doesnt really look like anything improved but it does look better I think. I'll keep at it and have monthly updates so you guys can make up your minds and see for yourself before spending any cash.

what do you guys think?

look at the top of this thread for the original pics in July... and the second set was about a month and a half ago I think.
