I'm wondering if you could roast the garlic and not lose the healing properties. It tastes AWESOME roasted (you just throw a few cloves on a cookie sheet and bake at 250F for an hour or so), especially when spread on bread or crackers. The taste changes to a more buttery, less tangy, taste.

I also wonder if the garlic capsules (marked "no odor") would be the same...

I'm pretty sure the healing properties of garlic are destroyed when you do any sort of heating to it.

Also, fresh garlic is always better than garlic capsules since the capsules have had a lot of time to deteriorate so you'll probably lose a lot of the healing properties of the original food.

Also, I have no trouble eating garlic. I eat 2-3 cloves daily. I just cut it up into small slices, squeeze them down with my knife then just swallow them without chewing. I also eat some other food alongside like an apple or some sunflower seeds since the garlic can burn going down.
