Alcohol: Ethanol can compete with retinol for alcohol dehydrogenase, leading to reduced levels of retinol oxidation to retinaldehyde and retinoic acid.

i just came across this and thought it might be of interest to some of you. i hardly drink nowadays but i was practically an alcoholic in highschool. in case you dont know, retinol is vitamin A, and retinoic acid is the same thing as accutane.

this is something to keep in mind for those who control their vitamin intake carefully.

hopefully people on accutane aren't drinking alcohol. the liver could have serious problems.
