Would using an AHA lotion/gel/cream (like one of the products by Alpha Hydrox) help with the prevention of future blackheads? Thanks.

At first I noticed a lot more blackheads, but now after using glycolic acid 8% for at least a week now, they have definitely improved. My main concern was redness and scars, but I would say it helps with clogged pores too. Except my nose doesn't seem to be improving. I get a lot of the tiny ones that aren't really noticebale, unless you go right up to my face. But the more serious blackheads, it can help a lot with preventing them.

Nice, I'll have to give this a shot. I would need a really strong AHA though; can someone recommend me one that I can get at Target, Wal-Mart or Kmart?

Sounds like you live in the U.S. so I recommend Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Cream...its the best, and it sells for a good price!!
