alternitives to diary at breakfest

looking to avoid milk and other dairy for breakfest, what are my opinions

Eggs. Oatmeal. Sausage. Granola. Pancakes. Fruit is a good one.

Erm, 'eggs' probably isn't the best suggestion for somebody looking to avoid dairy...

Pika - how about toast? Or as Brandon said, fruit is a great healthy breakfast.

Have banana slices on top of a big bowl of cereal with organic soy milk...AND toast with jam. Then take a granola bar and a bottle of water with you, on the go. What do you think of that?

Hmmm...well, I think a perfectly good alternative to writing your diary at breakfast would be simply to fill it out in the evening! biggrin.gif

i have 3 slice of toast (wholemeal bread) with butter and pineapple jam. then i eat a few walnuts then a whole raw carrot pealed..this is a very balanced breaky providin, carb,protein and essential fats. the carrots also aids digestion and is rich in vit a. an hour after breaki i drink green tea.

i've found that milk causes me to break out, but only in large amounts.

so i avoid cerial and drinking milk as a drink on its own. but butter (margerine), cheese don't seem to effect it at all, possibly because they've been processed so much to be turned into these other products that the 'nasty' bits in milk have been reduced/taken out.

i've done little tests such as for a week having cerial for breakfast etc, and everytime i break out, whereas if i don't have it in large contaties im fine (95% clear average)

i buy a pint of milk a week, for tea mostly, seems to be fine for me

I don't see what's wrong with dairy. I'm waiting for when the new fake-acne causer because H2O or protein.

All soymilk tastes like shit to me EXCEPT for Westsoy UNSWEETENED plain or vanilla. All the other brands have sweeteners and other crap in them that make them taste funky. Westsoy UNSWEETENED (make sure it's that one) is only water and soybeans (and vanilla in the vanilla one).


My regimen:

Eat regularly: a wide variety of vegetables, eggs, meat/fish, cheese, yogurt, butter, fruit, nuts/seeds.

Occasionally eat: beans, squash, potatoes.

Don't eat: sugar, grains, most processed food.
