Erm, 'eggs' probably isn't the best suggestion for somebody looking to avoid dairy...

Pika - how about toast? Or as Brandon said, fruit is a great healthy breakfast.

I didn't say butter - there are loads of other things you can put on toast.

Have banana slices on top of a big bowl of cereal with organic soy milk...AND toast with jam. Then take a granola bar and a bottle of water with you, on the go. What do you think of that?

Hmmm...well, I think a perfectly good alternative to writing your diary at breakfast would be simply to fill it out in the evening! biggrin.gif

i have 3 slice of toast (wholemeal bread) with butter and pineapple jam. then i eat a few walnuts then a whole raw carrot pealed..this is a very balanced breaky providin, carb, protein and essential fats. the carrots also aids digestion and is rich in vit a. an hour after breaki i drink green tea.

eusa_eh.gif why's that? eusa_think.gif

is it because cows lay eggs, or because chickens have milk?

I think it's always a good idea to have your meals contain ample amounts of essential fats, essential proteins, essential carbs, essential vitamins, essential minerals, and essential fiber.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist! eusa_angel.gif

i've found that milk causes me to break out, but only in large amounts.

so i avoid cerial and drinking milk as a drink on its own. but butter (margerine), cheese don't seem to effect it at all, possibly because they've been processed so much to be turned into these other products that the 'nasty' bits in milk have been reduced/taken out.

i've done little tests such as for a week having cerial for breakfast etc, and everytime i break out, whereas if i don't have it in large contaties im fine (95% clear average)

i buy a pint of milk a week, for tea mostly, seems to be fine for me

some people have a limited tolerance of lactose.
99.5% Clear (skin gets 'congested' PMS week, but no actual breakouts)
---------------------------
Fragrance-Free Baby Wipes + a few drops Rimmel Makeup Remover solution
3/4 AHA Toner* & 1/4 Glycerin (cotton pad) -- good toner, moisturizer, and makeup base (use less glycerin if not under makeup)
Occasional Treatments (2-3x/week): Exfoliating bp wash* in shower, 2.5% bp lotion* at night
CoverGirl TruBlend Powder Foundation
---------------------------
* = Klear Action Kit (Pro-Activ knockoff)
---------------------------
Gluten-free diet (for non-acne reasons, but it seems to have cleared my acne)

butter doesn't have much lactose in it (as long as you don't eat like a cup of it or anything cool.gif )

For reference, here is a table of some dairy product lactose content

Eggs would be the obvious choice..perhaps an omelet..you might be able to prepare them ahead of time and microwave in the morning. Ham, pepperoni, or aged cheese would be possible toppings. Aged cheeses, such as parmesan and romano, have much lower lactose contents than non-aged cheeses, which in turn have much lower lactose contents than milk.

Leftovers from dinner are another possibility.
