I bought a lot of salmon while at the grocery store and I noticed that most salmon items mention on their product label that salmon offers a nice dosage of omega 3...

I love that my diet has changed so much, I rarely see a pimple on my face anymore eusa_whistle.gif Thanks for this tip!

Hi everyone, I just read a new book called "Inflammation Nation" which
talks about omega 3's and 6's. Very interesting, too much to go into here. But I would add that you want "wild" alaska salmon, not farmed salmon. There is another form of fatty acid our bodies make called
arachidonic acid. This is the pro inflammatory one, bad one to have too
much of. Apparently, our food supply of meat, eggs and even farmed
salmon have too much of this. So the author talks about being careful
of the fish you buy. Of course, he did say that you could take epa, and
gla, which is another anti inflammatory fat, but you have to make sure
you take them both. It's sort of long, I just read the book yesterday.
But interesting stuff. He never mentioned acne, but did talk about ezcema and psoriasis. Perricone likes the wild salmon also, and if you look in his books he also talks about gla oils....

But GLA is an "omega 6" fatty acid.
