After/during exercising

You feel so good after you exercise, you think you'll look good too. However once I looked in the mirror after exercising, I feel that my face looked worse! Maybe it got redder or something, even. Or is it just me?

It is normal to flush after vigorous exercise, but since exercise is good for you, figure the redness will go away after a short time.The stress relief is so good for my acne I'll put up with the flushing.

Yeah one of the last times I worked out hard (months and months ago, I SUCK) ALL of my acne scars turned bright red, and my active zits swelled to twice the size and were like neon red...I looked so scary it made me cry on the way home from the track. I was thinking that working out a lot might actually help the skin..but I dunno. Ive never got into a good workout routine..


Current Skin-Care Regimen (A work in progress):

Morning:

Gentle wash with DKR cleanser

Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% (Following Dan's Regimen)

DKR Lotion + A squirt of Argan or Grapeseed oil (The lotion alone wasn't hydrating enough)

Skin 79 Korean BB Cream (excellent stuff)

Evening:

Gentle Wash with DKR Cleanser

Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% (Following Dan's Regimen)

DKR Lotion + A squirt of Argan or Grapeseed oil

Well to me moderate exercise is always good for you, only that I don't like the immediate effect on my face...

I heard it is because when we exercise blood is rushing to our heads causing our faces to look flushed. After practice I would usually see myself in the mirror (when I had no acne) and my cheeks were red and my little brother who had acne marks at the time would look 100% worse cause all of his marks were like 4x their regular redness.

I actually don't mind my skin when exercising because it turns it all red, which helps to mask some of my spots and makes my face universally the same color. After it though, rolleyes.gif my face looks bad. Oh well doubt.gif

yeah when I still had red marks, my face was all blotchy looking from all the different things I had been using on my face, and after practice seemed like the only time I had even toned skin.

I think I look a lot better right after some good hard cardio, but thats just me....

I always thought I looked better during exercise cos I thought my spots would be camouflaged..until that time when I really saw. Good for you, though!

Exercise outside in fresh air is good for you, regardless on how is makes you look during. Just have a shower straight after.
