1) Eat lots of leafy greens (spinach, kale, chard...the good stuff) at least five times a week. I try to eat an entire 5 ounce container each day, but often only finish about 3/4 of it. See item 2 below on why to not eat salad dressing.
2) Do not ever, ever eat anything with xanthan gum in it...which is a lot of food. I've even found xanthan gum in lotions and acne soaps. Xanthan gum is in every salad dressing I have ever found in stores. Sometimes you can make your own salad dressing with ingredients void of xanthan gum.
3) Do not eat anything with high fructose corn syrup.
4) Try not to eat anything with corn syrup in it more than once a month.
