1) Wear sunscreen every. single. day

2) Stock up on Carmex and Blistex (the only ones that worked for me)

3) Moisturize day and night (I like cetaphil)

4) Don't pick at your skin

5) No waxing

6) Keep wearing sunscreen. Apply it every 2 hours

7) Relax. Accutane has been an easy trip for myself and everyone I know. It'll ony get better

8) Don't use topical acne medications while on Accutane. You'll fry your face

That isn't because most medications already contain Vitamin A and you have to avoid it at all costs?

Retinoids are similar to Accutane, but Accutane dries your skin. Not all topicals are derivatives of vitamin A. You simply don't want to irritate your skin further. The goal of Accutane is to be acne free. You shouldn't need to use topicals while on it. While on Accutane, you skin is especially sensitive, and topical acne products are going to be too harsh.

I'm on accutane, and I can put anything on my face without worrying about a breakout. It's a strong medication, and truly does work wonders.

Great tips! I just would like to add to #2 -- Aquaphor lip balm W/ SPF has worked pretty good for me.
