I really need help using this hydroquinone I was prescribed retin a 0.5 and hydroquinone 4percent ive been using retin a for 1 year and I never u the hydro because I never knew how because I figured I have spots all over my face it is impossible for me to pintpoint ever single small scar even thoe they make my skin look horrible imagine someone with freckles but caramel skin and scars plus hyperpigmitation and certain spots in between with clear skin so I have no idea how to apply the hydro do I just rub it on entire face or sit there for hours trying to pin point every spot just to rub it in and it be on majority of my face plus already clear spots does the hydro have a ingredient in it to only work on dark spots and leave the already even skin alone because there is really no spot treatment how do I apply it

Hydroquinone only slows the production of melanin in your skin. You should apply it to problem spots. I have used it on and off over the last couple years before and after scar treatment. I only saw benefits when I applied it to areas with hyperpigmentation. Be sure to stay out of the sun while using it and wear a good sunblock, even indoors. If it irritates your skin, mix it with a moisturizer and apply it before going to bed. You want to apply it on top of retin-a.

If you Google this topic, you will find some good articles on how to apply it by doctors. That's mainly how I learned.

thank you a lot for replying but Ive been researching this for years and it never really says I know everything about the retin a and what hydroquinone does but for someone who has acne spots and hyperpigmation and sunspots all of the skin with little patches of even skin like a dalmation or something how do you apply it if u have spot all over cheek do u just apply to whole cheek if u have spots mostly all over nose do u apply all over your nose to make sure u got everything instead of trying to pin point every single mark it seems like your skin would be a lot more even if you could just apply all over and it just faded the dark spots but trying to find every spot takes forever
