Hey i kinda have a weird situation..

im on month 2 on accutane and my result are quite good, except the current redness and more apparent red marks which i believe its totally normal.. i used neutrogena oil free moisturizer and cetaphil cleanser..

but everytime i eat something, , my skin around my chin turn white at certain place, like dryness or some dry cream. its really just around certain places at the chin, always same places.. and just when i eat. i doesnt happen ALL THE TIME but really often

i can just take water and wash it away but its really weird.. and annoying as everytime i eat need to go to the bathroom after.

as anyone had a similar situation ? wtf is the problem lol ?

Thanks

The same thing happened to me. Mine was dead skin/moisturizer. What I did/do: use a cleanser and rub the skin off softly(!) and gently(!). You should also moisturize right after taking shower/washing your face.

Dead Skin Cells Brah. Moisturize right after a shower. and be very careful exfoliating I recommend exfoliation every other day, with a light scrub, but again be gentle.

I only get 1-2 pimples a week. Is accutane a poor choice for me. Very mild acne. The regimen does work but it always comes back. Do you have issues shaving at all. My Derm gave me an RX for 20mg a day and I have yet to start because I am worried about the IB and think the Regimen may be a better choice first to see if it works. Accutane scares me. Side effects vary obviously. Thoughts?

im like you, man, ,mild acne, neve really had cyst or anything, just really persistent, i was on minocycline pills for 1 year off and on, acne came back after, a bit on the upper back and face. i tried sticking with regimen for a month or two wasnt really doing anything.

i visited 3 differents derm and they all said yes i can go with accutane since nothing worked long term.

im almost finished month 2 accutane and i see good results, get 1 or 2 pimples per week max now.
had a initial breakout in month 1 but wasnt that bad. only side effects i have is super dry lips, annoying when eating, corner of lips can bleed sometime.
i had dry nose in month 1 now its better. and face can get super red sometime if im nervous or i go too much outside, but it pass after a couple of minutes.

im on 40mg btw.

i was scared too man,

im hyped cause i heard super good results is often in month 3.

But yeah, i wanna know WHY WHEN I EAT does it turn white around my mouth/chin just at a certain place, otherwise when i dont eat im all good, is it because my jaw move a lot when i eat etc ? and i have that shit since like a week, i double the moisturizer around that place but nothing to do, its also a bit red at that place, like new skin forming or something. is really just when i eat dinner etc.

Try Aloe Vera!!! It really helps with redness, straight after the shower, then moisterize if you normally do.

This had helped me heaps! And i just use the one for sun burn, doesnt have to be pure aloe.

Good luck :)

Cerave lotion will cure this. aloe vera too but moisturizing 1-3 times a day will help

Pretty much clearing up right now, but got 2-3 small whiteheads forming on my forehead right now, wondering if it may be the new hair cream wax i just bought this week.

Really weird, that spot about eating really dont change.

i realized is not about eating is when my jaw make the movement of eating. dry the skin around my mouth like crazy, only one side, so when i eat i always end up with dry/ white skin, pretty embarrassing when eating with friends etc.

any solution ? ive put moisturizer at this place like 10 times a day lol and change not so much, its good when i dont eat, but everytime my jaw do the movement it get dry and flaky white like crazy....
