So recently my chin acne had changed from one or two larger inflamed spots at a time to a constant breakout of smaller red spots, I literally get two or three new ones a day but they don't last long but are constantly replaced by new ones. I'm hoping it's due to stopping and restarting the pill and that things will even back out. However, my istorex gel is not helping after. 8 months so I have decided to try my uk version of the regimen to see what happens. I have a derm appointment at the end of May so will try it til at least then. So today is day one.my acne is md but I find it very distressing so fingers crossed image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Day 2 and my skin is the worst it's ever been. I have 12 spots in my chin and one in my forehead...where I never breakout. I'm so depressed I can't cope with this

Day 3
Skin looks rubbish, no improvement on my chin outbreak and now have a forehead zit and clogged pores by my nose and left side of my chin. I could cope with my skin if the right side of my chin could just stop breaking out and heal. I am on my 7 day break from dianette now (1st month back after a break) and I'm dreading my skin getting any worse. People tell me I just need to forget it and carry in but it's getting harder and harder even to leave the houseimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Day 4
No real improvement in my skin, in fact got a couple more small spots round my mouth...sucks
Am trying to be a but more positive as have just felt so low and negative recently. Going to try and switch my focus to my mental and physical health and not make acne my one and only thought as it's consuming me at the moment. Still hate it obviously but what else can I do

Day 7
My chin outbreak has subsided and have no actives at the moment! Yay!
I do have some red marks and scarring but hopefully if I can stay clear as possible these will subside. I'm not sure if it's the benzoyl peroxide or because I got my period ( the week before my period is always the worst) but will carry on with the regimen and keep my fingers crossed. All in all a better few days! :)

Day 8
So scrap that, small spots are starting to form on the right side of my chin again, right on top of the red marks. They are small but numerous so have that sinking feeling again

Day 10
Right side of my chin is covered in small lumps again :( plus one that's been there a while is swelling up to be a bigger spot. I don't know what's going on, the past three months my skin has completely changed. I would always have a couple of weeks reprieve once I got my period but now my pores just seem to be constantly becoming clogged on this side of my chin with no break in between. I'm so miserable, really thought the regimen was helping when my breakout healed but so far no such luck...still spotty plus dry skin...not a good look

Day 11
The bigger spot has swelled and is now a big red papule that feels sore and deep plus the rest of the right side of my chin is scattered with smaller pink spots. Maybe this is what it's going to be like all the time now. The skin is dry from the benzoyl peroxide so make up looks crap x

Day 13
I feel so incredibly low about the state of my skin, small spots plague the right side if my chin, with a monster papule on that side too plus a smaller one on the left side. The skin around them is so dry that my make up just looks scabby and crusty and does nothing to hide the spots. It's a disaster and I'm sick of it. I suck of having to tell myself it's not to bad that it could be worse, that no one cares. I'm just sick of it all

Hey, I know how annoying it is to almost always be dealing with some sort of a break out.  I break out in that same area but with cysts and nodules.  You should be happy, though, that the rest of your skin is in such great condition!

I haven't used the regimen but from what I've read from other posts, you have to stick it out for longer than a couple weeks to see results.... just like with a lot of other treatments.  Don't expect everything to clear up immediately or you'll be disappointed every single day.  I know make up sometimes looks really bad over break outs but my suggestion is to just put it on anyway (as long as it doesn't break you out worse).  I find that I don't obsess over my skin or touch it nearly as much if I put make up on.

It doesn't look too bad straight from the shower but it's def worse in real life, oh well tomorrow's another day

Thanks for your reply, may I ask what you use? I am highly impatient and you're right I am disappointed everyday. I know not to expect miracles but the dryness coupled with spots is hard as make up just highlights the dryness and allows the spots to shine through! I have a holiday in two weeks so hoping some sun, sea and less stress might help a little

Day 15
Feels like day 100, no improvement in fact two new spots today making a total of 6 on the right side of my chin plus quite a few clogged up pores on the left side. The spots are a little bigger than they have been for a while as well which sucks as they really stand out. Am feeling very low and negative and disheartened. I just don't know what's going on with me at the moment. Am on month 2 of dianette and my skin only went crazy when I took a month breAk from it. Has anyone else had a break from dianette and gone back on? Does it take a while to kick in again. Leaving the house is so hard, work is so hard, seeing people is so hard. Totally miserable

I agree the photo looks better but in 'real life' and daylight there are lumps all over the right side of my chin and a couple along my jawline. I think make up might actually make it look worse as today I freaked out at work when I looked in the mirror if the disabled toilet. It's the lumps that upset me as you can cover red marks but can't hide lumps all up your face :(

Day 18
Every time I get a glimmer if hope that my skin may be improving...bam, more breakouts...hmph.
Feel deflated after getting my hopes up yet again. Broken out in the same places again, the right side of my chin. Going on holiday in a week and a half and dreading going au natural with my skin as it is :(

Day 19
Had a decent day, went for a sunny 8 mike walk along the river with my family and dog, had a few paranoid moments about my skin but enjoyed the fresh air and pretty views. Still spotty and used a new sunscreen today so waiting to see if it reacts with my skin. Do have a big spot round by my ear, it's been there about six months and every now and then swells up for a few days before returning to a small lump...least my hair covers it!
