So i started. I have read much in many sites, i am totally aware of the causes of my acne and i decided to use the regimen complimentary to my struggle to balance my hormones with natural supplements. To make clear from the beggining i dont believe all this crap about how long to wash, to wait for the next step and the dosage needed each day and week. I use the cleanser as a cleanser. I dont care about how much i pump or how long i rub it on my face. It is really foamy and needs very little. The bp has nice texture. I apply it only at night and thats i am going to do as long as i use this procedure. If it is effective, it will still be even with only one application. I dont know if i use the recommended amount, but it takes time to be absorbed, so i guess its enough. I apply it only on my problem area(cheeks) and not on the entire face. I am on day 2 and no itcyness, dryness or uncomfortable feeling has occured. Just a tight feeling like when i have an egg white mask on. Two pimples are surfaced but small and ready to pop already. Is it the purge or that i am before my period? We will see about that... Now the moisturizer. It is very runny. I used it once. I prefer to moisture with my regular creams day and night- nothing like proactiv or so. They are two anti wrinkle creams for day and night use from oriflame. I have not noticed any peculiar interact. Before jumping to conclusions let me tell you that these creams have never caused me a derm issue, so no thing about clogging pores and bla.. Bla.. I am also in no intention of quiting my egg and clay masks, or the acv i use as a lotion after de make up. If i get all this right this is all about the bp, cause cleansing and moisturizer are pure products containing no active ingredients against acne. So..., the bp is so far so good but i have the suspision is gentle? For my skin ( tolerant, indeed). I move on day 3.... See ya soon with updates....

The Regimen works best when used exactly according to Dan's directions, which includes washing the correct way and using the products in the correct manner. If you choose not to follow the directions, we really cannot predict what results you may have or give you adequate feedback. We have been coaching people for over ten years with The Regimen, and time and time again we see that it really does work best when followed very strictly.

Dear Brandy, i am actually on day 5. My face is smooth, i dont touch any bump under the surface. My blemishes scab in the morning and i have only the red spots left behind. In fact with a bit of foundation you could sware my complexion is flawless. I still have no irritation from bp. So, i guess its doing its job even when mixed with other stuff. I will keep you posted.....!

WEEK 1 gone. My face is still smooth. No irritation from bp, not dryness. I still use it only at night, and only on the affected areas. What i use on my face other times through the day: lavender and geranium oil, contractubex cream on scars, baking soda-lemon peeling left for about 10 min. on face, moisturizing mask, vicks on scars overnight. The results? No new pimple so far and scar fadding. In fact i have no new breakout for 10 days now. OUTCOME: the bp effectiveness has nothing to do with the usage of other anti acne stuff at the same time. If it is supported by your skin( and you are not allergic or intollerant or anything), it does not affect any other product you may use along with it, even over it. Starting week 2....

WEEK 2 gone. So, after 15 days on the regimen i report that i dont have any new pimple. I only have the polka dot red face. I still dont follow the regimen religiously, in fact yesterday i didnt use the bp. And i rarely use the moisturizer. My only problem now is the scar fadding which seems to move very slowly. I still use all this stuff i have already mentioned. I need a tiny amount of make up to cover the marks. The face is smouth, no hyperpigmentation, apart from the dots, no dryness, sensitivity or anything. Is this regimen supposed to do anything with the red spots, or i have picked its best performance and now just have to work on the scars?

Really Brandy??? You can criticize my method when started but you cannot answer if this is all with the regimen? As you see, i did NOT follow the instructions, but still my face is looking good for almost 20 days. I am assuming its not the regimen working, or not JUST the regimen. Its all together. So, cut the crap to all the desperate who are looking for apermanent solution.

I don't think that Brandy was criticizing your method she was simply stating that people get the best results if they follow the regimen pretty precisely.  If you are getting results from doing it your way then good for you. It seems like you are the one who is being argumentative.

Good luck.

Are you serious honey? Whom i am arguing with? Myself? I am the one to note in this thread and i would appreciate THOUGHTS on what i post and not COMMENTS like<<if you dont do it like instructed, you wont have results>>, especially when you dont have the intuition to know what will happen. PERIOD. Nothing more.

You are still missing the point. I started this thread because I was suspicious and wanted to prove (or not) the effectiveness and the point of following the regimen. As it is proved the only thing to work is the bp gel, and this does not need to be applied by itself, and 15 minutes after washing.. and... and. Although, Ms. Brandy was judgemental enough before reading any following post. She really seems like the pr manager of those products. I have seen other of her posts on the regimen forum in the profile of a specialist. Is she? or she is simply selling? I really hate when I realized that I joined a community to discuss my problem with other sufferers and find myself being promoted to a super duper cure that has to be followed specifically in order to sell what it has to every month or so. Why do you think the finger long doses are promoted for? Anyway, I think this is losing its point. MY FACE IS ACNE- BUT NOT SPOT- FREE WHILE USING THE REGIMEN ALONG WITH A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFF ALL AT THE SAME TIME. It did help, but not miraculously by itself. After all my acne is pure hormonal.

So, for you who read this topic, the bottom line is that there are no rules for the regimen as long as you use a pure benzoyl peroxide cream  on your suffering area at least once a day. Dont be afraid to break the rules, cause there are no any. The only rule that Ms assistance is promoting is to make sure that you will keep turning back buying the regimen. Well, I will not. I am thankful for finding extremely useful info in this site, but up to this. Anything else is just commerse.

To end up, still face looking good!

So, two small pimples were reveiled yesterday. They come to a head, but though it is obvious they are ready to pop, they dont let the puss go even when i use a needle to help them pop ( sterilized of course!). Is the bp to blame for that? In the past they poped easily, but they were big. Now they are small but refuse to open. Rest of face looking good, red marks fade away ( they better do, i use so many stuff on them! ). Eventually i realized i have only red marks and no scars. I never had scars, just the red spots. I also use the bp every second day still only at night.

I have purchased SO MANY creams that i read in reviews are miraculous for red marks and i have to use them somehow during the day. So, i decided to use the bp in the noon and leave it until night cleansing. I changed the bp from the regimen's to a 5% bp cream from glotherapeutics with rosemary and aloe, ( really, really good, excellent alternative) because i had it and want to finish it. In the morning i cleanse, put the snail cream and the fade out moisturizer with spf. Then i put make up on. In the noon when i return home i remove make up with tissue, not cleansing at this point, and put the bp cream with turmeric cream. At night i cleanse and use the snail cream again with the fade out night cream. Between i use aha mask and the essential oils as well as acv as a toning lotion.
I used for the first time desitin on red marks overnight last night and it was WAY better in the morning. Now, i am a week before my menstrual and today my face looked at its best. No active pimples, the more recent were flatened, and red scars significantly discolourated.
What i assume is that the most active ingredients you use on problem area, the better the result, as long as they dont interact to each other.
I keep the regimens bp to use when i finish the glotherapeutics cream and i still use the cleanser, but the moisturizer is more useful as a body lotion.

One month gone. Looking back on my first post here i comment about a couple of pimples wondering if they are purge or due to the days of the month. Well the answer is the second. Again being before my period, two cysts are formed on right lower cheek. Face generally looks bursted( not with pimples, just the skin, if you get my point, dont know how to describe), certainly because of the period coming. Bottom line: these stuff are doing nothing in hormonal acne, as the pre- period pimples will rise whatever the cure.
I kind of believe that the regimen is working in placebo terms....
The fadding is doing great though. Red marks are vanishing in a faster way
I will keep up. Is the purging phase happening now? Doubt, so coincidential to my menstrual!

Face looking good again after period is over. During these days i use the bp constantly but i dont think it can affect this type of breaking out. So, the actual problem is the red marks left behind.
If you cannot avoid the monthly break outs you should invest to a product that helps fade marks and blemishes. Other than that nothing.
Its the 40th day on the regimen....

No active pimples, just the marks. Its the second day i use a turmeric mask on face for almost three hours( instead of leaving it overnight and stain my sheets). The results are great. A couple of stubborn purplish marks are fading away. I stop the bp for a couple of days to speed up fading.

Just for the record: each person's acne journey is an individual one. Each person has particular hormones, environmental factors, and genetics that are individual to that person. In that case, think of what other posters have said in terms of hammering a nail into a wall: essentially, the method that others have been advising is to be gentle with the hammer and take care to listen to the advice of others who have been there before. If you don't follow the method that others have used, and you decide to use more elbow motion with the hammer, or if you decide to try going a little more to the left or right instead of straight down the center, as has been advised, then the people who are advising you simply can't guarantee that you'll have similar results--because you're using a different method. It's not antagonising so much as informing. Information, such as the post Brandy made above, is neutral; it's how you read into it that changes the meaning.

If you personally happen to be experiencing different results with your own method, it's great to share! But your skin is going to have a different temperament than Hope's skin or my skin, so maybe The Regimen's method will work better for us.

Lastly: a particular method isn't what's going to keep people coming back and buying products--not necessarily, anyway. You can sell products, but a method is a whole different story. And anyway, those who are in charge of Acne.org aren't necessarily trying to sell you their products (or any products) exclusively: they're just telling you what's worked for them, and how to find those. There are so many instances of the founders and moderators and representatives talking about what drugstore products you can use instead of the Acne.org ones--that doesn't exactly scream to me that they're truly only motivated by trying to make you come back and buy their products.

I will only say smth i discovered lately. There is a set of pictures in the regimen gallery of before and after of a blond female with blue eyes. This person is claiming that has used the regimen and bamm.. The results were amazing. I really dont know how to link you the photos, or else i would do. The exact same photos are appearing to each network searching is referring to an acne treatment, as a proof of its efficiency. There is a scam somewhere. Maybe the pictures are photoshoped, maybe this person has indeed won acne, but in what way? Who knows....
The photos are widely used by pharmaceutical companies and other similar sites as well as from ebay sellers. The girl pictured has the legal right to sue everyone for using her face without her permission ( at least this is how it goes in my countrys legislation). BUT do all those people risk to just copy a pic from here and just use it overspread in the net? I dont know, but i am a little more skeptical....

Have you purchased the regimen already? I guess you will.

I'm not quite sure what to make of your thread, but I would like to take the time to respond to some of your accusations.

You are saying that 'assistants' of this site promote acne.org products and the sole purpose of the regimen stating to use two finger lengths of BP is only so that more product is used in order to sell more product.

Well I am an 'assistant' of this site and I don't care one bit about what product you use, all I do is assist where I can and post responses to questions wherever I feel qualified through experience to do so.  I followed the regimen using both acne.org products and also store bought products and my personal opinion is that acne.org BP is far superior to any BP product that is available in Australia.  As for the other acne.org products, I'm indifferent to them.  I am no longer following the regimen and I have quite clearly state the method I use to remain clear in my signature so you can hardly accuse me of 'promoting acne.org products'.

I am glad that your skin is starting to clear, but I would suggest that you are likely to get a better response to your thread if you eased off on the level of aggression you demonstrate.

Thank you on your objective point of you! My comments targeted specified assistants AND users that seem to have no other option than the religious routine of the regimen, and no opinion about other alternatives. I am clear for the moment using partially the regimen along with other stuff. I have not noticed any other posts of you in the forums but from your latest one here, you definately dont promote. I am sorry if you felt offended, but it was not personal. It was the feeling i received from the replies i got in this topic. I appreciate suggestions and not criticism. Its good to hear that not all moderators are the same.
