Ok so, level with me guys. Why is the forum peppered with nothing but adverse Accutane side effects? You mean to tell me nobody has good results from this drug? When you look at the positive pinned thread and the negative the negative is far higher. I know Acne.org isn't exactly a population study but I plan to go on the drug and have been scared shytless for years because of these stories but acne has damaged me far greater. I'm sure some of them are true. But then I see pictures of people's "Accutane damage" and the person looks like nothing is wrong with them so then I get extremely confused and think maybe they had body dysmophoric disorder or something.

So did anyone have a PERSONAL experience that was actually good? I'm not against the negative experience users or anything...the stories do make my decision tough, though...

Go to the accutane galleries, and look at the accutane logs. You'll see most people report a very positive outcome (if they finish the log at all). A lot of people stop posting here as soon as they get clear (which is the point, I suppose...). I've been on accutane for about 2 weeks so far the positives vastly outweigh the negatives. I feel better about myself, my skin is incredibly soft, and I have no active cysts or nodules. Hope that helps!

I had fantastic results with accutane, there are before and after photos somewhere on my log if you'd like to see.

It's a strong drug and my time on it was not at all easy but looking at my result I'm glad I did it. Hope this helps :)

Cool thanks guys will check the logs. What sides did you have? I would be on 10-20 mg if i decide to do it. I am more interested in how people are doing a while after the course too... Because the claims are that the horrible things happpen after the course. :S

I took this drug about 4 years ago, and had great results. Acne completely cleared within 5 months! Although, I'm currently having a bit of relapse, but that sometimes happens. As for side effects, I remember having the occasional nosebleed, which I lessened by using petroleum jelly to protect the inside of my nose.

Rare chance you will get anything after the course. Only ones who should worry are the ones who are taking high doses of it daily; 80mg-200mg.

20mg you won't notice much besides the occasional headache, dry lips and dry skin (Maybe dry nose) espcially around your mouth and chin area, otherwise you won't get anything like other people mention. If you do get others such as joint pain buy glucosamine and take 1500mg a day.
