"but I GOT IT TONIGHT

so hopefully it'll be gone tomorrow smile.png"

"Right now I have about three actives, but all popped and hopefully on their way out."

(sorry, wont let me properly quote posts right now, idk why)

What do you do to make your active acne go away so fast? You said you can make the one you got "tonight" be gone "tomorrow," how do you kill them so fast!? Takes me like multiple days to lose active acne. Please reply!

Hey Alyssa!  So glad things are still going well for you...I know how it feels about the "1 step forward, 3 steps back"  when it comes to acne.  I wore some Ready Foundation from Bare Minerals all last week and ended up with a few breakouts....no more of that stuff, for sure.

So sorry to hear about your run and your knee.  I hope you find a good treatment so you can get back to doing what you enjoy!

Current skin care routine:

AM

Rainwater Botanical's Soap for Troubled Skin

Spot treat with Acne.org's AHA

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense

Clinique All About Eyes with Baobab oil

PM

Clinique Take the Day Off Balm with Adzuki Micrograin Facial Scrub (All natural-awesome stuff!)

Acne.org Cleanser for extra cleansing ( I wear a full face of makeup)

Frugally Sustainable Blemish Astringent/or Rainwater Botanical's Toner for Troubled Skin (All natural-very soothing and non-drying)

1 1/2 Pumps of Acne.org's 2.5% BP

Clinique All About Eyes with Baobab oil

Acne.org's Moisturizer (small amount)

When I get home from work, I like to let my face breath, so generally, I will use Clinique Take the Day Off Balm with the Adzuki micrograins, followed by a more gentle regimen. Currently, I am using Bare Minerals Blemish Treatment on any actives...LOVE this stuff!

I've recently added a mask to my routine.  It's all natural and very cheap.  Bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar mixed with a wee bit of tea tree oil. This is great for blackheads!

I am currently 100% clear with this mostly natural regimen.

Makeup: Merle Norman's Purely Mineral Makeup Powder

Merle Norman Aqua Balance liquid foundation

Primer:

Studio Gear Primer

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Today is kinda sucky. My face has broken out in like four actives...on the sides of my cheek. It's so annoying because yesterday it looked perfect.

fml.

Hopefully it gets better since I'm on like Month 4 now...

@DarkDubs....Yeah, I can't quote anything either! Grr....

Anyhoo...DarkDubs...the regimen is not a cure.  There are no cures for acne, unfortunately ...but this method does keep a lot of the breakouts at bay .

Like I was telling Alyssa...sometimes, it's like 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.  It really depends on what's going on in your life, what you might of put on your face (i.e. touching face with hands, environmental factors, if you wear makeup, etc...).

I sooo wish there was an end all, be all cure! But no.....but there is always hope!

I guess only time is the cure for acne, people just grow out of it eventually i guess.

Hi Alyssa, I haven't updated in awhile, but I'm happy to report my boys are doing well, fingers are crossed that it stays that way. I think they are on week 12 by now and continue to do the regimen just once a day. That seems to work best for them, they are staying mostly clear and the irritation and redness is way down. They do get occasional small pimples so it's not totally perfect, but they go away quickly. Maybe once the weather warms up they'll try twice a day, but for now this is working pretty well. They also started taking a zinc supplement about a week ago and it really seems to prevent new breakouts, also seems to calm redness in their skin. So far, so good.
I agree with kamiller that there are a lot of steps forward and steps backward throughout this whole thing. As soon as you think it's all good, new pimples pop up and it makes no sense where they come from!! When my boys look good, I pray it will stay that way! Hopefully by the time it gets to the 3-4 month mark, results will be more consistent with fewer ups and downs!!!
Glad to see you're doing well too! Keep updating whenever you can !

"They also started taking a zinc supplement about a week ago and it really seems to prevent new breakouts, also seems to calm redness in their skin."

Zinc? Exactly what does it say on the bottle, like is it a specific kind of zinc supplement or anything? I want to try that, heard about zinc helping acne.

I've been breaking out along my jawline, and I know it's because I'm resting my hands on my chin while in classes. UGHHH. But other than that my face is looking really good! Going to start incorporating the AHA because now most of my  "acne" is the red marks, with only 1-3 actual bumps, give or take. It's looking up, oh also I got an 86% on my first chem test :D please go away stress pimples LOL

Hey Aylssa and Everyone! It's been a while since I been on this site.

How's the knee Aylssa? I'm guessing it's much better since you wrote that you went on a Hike.

My regimen has been going steady ^_^ my face is much clearer now and I eventually get a breakout because I don't get time to add the regimen the second time because of work [i do graveyard shift] but it looks A LOT BETTER than it did before, I want to see if i can take pictures this Saturday. The only thing you will see on my face are scars, but I'm been doing research on this treament called microdermabrasion, I really want to try it out.

so I been on the regimen for almost 2 months ^_^ and I love it!!!

I am glad the regimen is working for you!!! :D

My knee is somewhat okay. It turns out I messed up my IT band, which can't be healed by time, but mostly by stregthening the muscles around the tendon, so that means lots of squats, spin class, swimming, elliptical and weights. I've been doing that, along with hiking for the last three weeks, and was finally able to run 3.1 miles straight last week!! !I was so happy, it took everything in my power to not scream with joy in the gym LOLL..

WHICH brings me to the subject of the gym...literally before i had no self confidence. I was so worried about my face. Now, I just put on some concealer (still haven't put foundation on in over two months!!!) and I wipe my face with a towel, and I don't care what anyone thinks, because my face hardly looks bad. I even GO IN THE POOL and swim vigorously and don't care.

My face is about 89% clear, I still get the random zits here and there, but I really think its from stress, sweat and rubbing my face //gotta stop that habit. Sorry for being MIA in this forum, real life has happened, and these classes are kicking my butt!!! I also finally finished my novel, so I'm working on the editing process before sending it off to hopefully get published! :D

I am glad the regimen is working for you!!! biggrin.png

Yes Thank-you ^_ ^

3.1 Miles is pretty good and keep on doing the swimming, I heard the water helps better strenght the muscle joints so good job on that part. 7.7 Miles to 11.2 miles a day, depending if I have time, I know for a fact because of the Walking mate app install on my phone. I'm really determined to achieve my goal!

I went to the gym and Liked it because the work-out machines are great and I felt people don't judge by face...BUT they do judge you by muscles... well for me they did xD I kept hitting the 25lbs dumbells and people kept staring at my arms x P Have fun working on dem legs.

Also don't forget to just smooth out the BP on the face, even though we bgen getting use to putting on the regimen, a while back I kept on rubbing the cream on my face way too much and I got a couple of pimples around my lips area. I went back to just being gentle on the bp and rubbing it very gently or just smearing it and they vanish in 2 days so becareful on applying it cause irration causes acne > - <; A novel o.o really? woah that's awesome!!!

Hey Alyssa and everyone....I know it's been awhile...life has kinda got in the way, lol.  Anyhoo...glad to see so many on here seeing great improvements!  I just want to encourage everyone to stick with the Regimen...I am 100% clear and have been that way for a while now!  Yes, I had the burning, itching, purging, flaking...the whole package.  If you can get through the first initial stages ( I would say the first 3 months are the absolute hardest) you will more than likely get very good results.  Don't give up guys!!

Current skin care routine:

AM

Rainwater Botanical's Soap for Troubled Skin

Spot treat with Acne.org's AHA

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense

Clinique All About Eyes with Baobab oil

PM

Clinique Take the Day Off Balm with Adzuki Micrograin Facial Scrub (All natural-awesome stuff!)

Acne.org Cleanser for extra cleansing ( I wear a full face of makeup)

Frugally Sustainable Blemish Astringent/or Rainwater Botanical's Toner for Troubled Skin (All natural-very soothing and non-drying)

1 1/2 Pumps of Acne.org's 2.5% BP

Clinique All About Eyes with Baobab oil

Acne.org's Moisturizer (small amount)

When I get home from work, I like to let my face breath, so generally, I will use Clinique Take the Day Off Balm with the Adzuki micrograins, followed by a more gentle regimen. Currently, I am using Bare Minerals Blemish Treatment on any actives...LOVE this stuff!

I've recently added a mask to my routine.  It's all natural and very cheap.  Bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar mixed with a wee bit of tea tree oil. This is great for blackheads!

I am currently 100% clear with this mostly natural regimen.

Makeup: Merle Norman's Purely Mineral Makeup Powder

Merle Norman Aqua Balance liquid foundation

Primer:

Studio Gear Primer
