Anyone in Montreal on spiro? I am currently seeing a derm who won't give me spiro, despite a lot of evidence indicating that I have hormonal acne. I have NO clue how to procure spiro since I don't have a GP.

I tried making an appointment with an endocrinologist, but you need a referral.

Anyone seeing a derm who gave them spiro? I am so desperate, I don't know what to do

You could drive across the border, see a dermatologist in the U.S., and get a prescription. Dermatologists here will let you just pay out of pocket if you are uninsured here. You don't need a referral because we don't yet have some sort of law forcing you to go through the system. You'd just have to pay about $140 for the visit, then about $15 for the prescription.

Then there are Canadian pharmacies that will fill your U.S. prescription every month.

My dermatologist requires I see her once a year to get my spironolactone renewed. One trip down south a year would be a small price to pay for clear skin.

Also this user on a hairloss forum seems to be in Canada and on spiro. I could be wrong, but you could try creating an account there and messaging her about it.

GreenGables has a good idea there.
I'm in Canada. I basically had to endure antibiotic after antibiotic until my doctor FINALLY agreed to prescribe spiro.
I'd consider visiting a women's clinic at a college or something and asking for the script or referral.

I don't, and finding one seems to be impossible! I see a doctor at my university clinic and I will try her, if not, I'll try switching birth control pills. Seems to be my only option.
