Well, in Canada you can find it in most stores....

Outside of Canada there are some places.....and apparently derms in the U.S. sometimes carry it.

Do you guys use the regular spectrojel or the fragrance free one?  I have been using the regular one and it smells like alcohol...so I was wondering if the fragrance free one didn't have that gross smell.  Thanks!

omg, yesss. i've noticed the same thing. i just bought mine a few days ago and it smells disGUSting. eusa_sick.gif smelt like brandy to me. but it's pretty gentle and it gets rid of makeup, which cetaphil did NOT at all.

Fragrance-free one is a lot better. Still has a bit of an alcohol smell, but its very tolerable.

Man I luv this cleanser eusa_angel.gif
I just bought the big bottle the other day.

Yeah, I'm anti-Cetaphil....and a lot of ppl hate it when I bash it lol
but if only they knew how good this stuff is.........

Even on the Spectro bottle it prides itself in the fact it doesn't contain SLS and parabens(?)....which of course Cetaphil contains. People don't understand that those ingredients could be actually just making their skin worse...but they are fooled by the fact that Cetaphil is advertised as a "gentle" cleanser.

Plus, Spectro is suppose to act as an antibacterial. Like it actually kills the crap on the skin an removes the unwanted stuff, like oil. Cetaphil doesn't have that concept at all. Its like washing with a heavily watered-down moisturizer.
It's overrated, over-priced crap!!!

^^ I TOTALLY agree. it smells like shit, but it's a good cleanser for sure. cetaphil is overhyped imo. and yeah Spectro doesn't contain any SLS, etc, which is awesome! biggrin.gif
Funny thing is I didn't see the scented one at Shoppers....gonna have to look harder! So is it just the normal one (the one that smells) and then the scented one? or are there others?

well....i'm sure you know that they have the Spectro "jel" and they also have their "derm".....and for the two different kinds they have a fragranced and a non-fragranced. I know for the Spectro Jel, the non-fragranced is the purple colour....and I think the fragranced is a green or blue??? Personally, I stay away from all facial products that are fragranced. What's the point ayways!? Its just more shit being put on the skin that could potentially irritate it. Maybe the fragranced version is an attempt to cover the alcohol smell??? But from what I hear, the non-fragranced is better..soo.....
and ya, I agree!! (o:

Good,
But, it's alcohol based so it's a tad drying. Not too bad.

I understand that alcohol is suppose to be drying on the skin.....

but I really don't find the Spectro Jel to be drying at all. I feel that it protects my skin from being dried out from the tap water, which can really strip my face of moisture.

I got the stuff imported. I used it for a bit and found that my face felt tight after I used it. This is a sign of drying. But, it didn't flake or anything extreme like that.

I guess everyone's skin reacts differently.......

This is like the one product out of a million I've tried that doesn;t leave my face feeling dry and tight afterwards.
