I was wondering if there are any other acne products that can be used instead of the regimen. Is there any other facial cleanser, and facial moisturizer other than the regimen. Any like neutrogena, cetaphil, etc. ??

Also, try a selection of the following:

  • Macha (green tea powder, just as effective as Benzoyl Peroxide without side effects and non-toxic)
  • 100% pure organic lavender essential oil (directly on spots only)
  • 100% pure organic tea tree essential oil (all over face)
  • Sea salt + spring water washes
  • B3 Niacinamide ointment (very effective, especially for moderate- severe acne)
  • Mild cleanser from NewDirections.com.au
  • Tea tree oil cleanser from NewDirections.com.au
  • A natural zinc ointment
  • You can also choose from other 100% natural organic brands like Jes Organics, The Body Deli, Sukin, Pure Skin Junkie...possibly even BION research (but they're not 100% natural) etc.


    However, NOTHING will work if you're indulging in an unhealthy lifestyle, eating junk food/ fast food, drinking sodas & coffee/ caffeinated teas, eating dairy, fried food, processed foods, canned foods, microwave foods, GMO, drinks & foods from plastic containers etc.

    Instead, you need to eat VERY healthy i.e. mostly raw organic vegan i.e. lots of green leafy salads like kale/ spinach leaves with lemon juice/ grapeseed oil/ flaxseed oil, salt/ pepper, avocado, quinoa, fresh herbs like cilantro/ mint/ flat leaf parsley, quality hummus, baked sweet potato/ potatoes with jacket, lentils, peas, brown rice with coconut milk/ fresh ginger + thyme + ginger/ cayenne pepper/ turmeric/ steamed thai vegetables/ organic tempeh/ mixed nuts (if you're not alergic to them), mixed seeds, (NB stay away from evoo, instead eat oils high in linoleic acid like safflower/ sunflower/ grapeseed oil), pure spring water, fresh juices daily with veg/ fruit, coconut water, spices, flat bread occasionally (but try to avoid gluten & pasta etc), beans, sea vegetables, superfoods like chlorella/ spirulina/ barley grass/ chia seeds/ maca/ cacao etc,  almond milk + gluten free muesli, dolmades, semi-dried tomotoes, non GMO popcorn air-popped (with lemon juice sea salt + cayenne pepper or curry powder), unhulled tahinin, berries, fruits, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, cucumber, alfalfa sprouts, mung beans, sprouted chickpeas, vegan dark chocolate 85%, homemade baked kale & sweet potato "healthy chips" etc....

    Gentle daily exercise is also important 10-30 minutes...and sleeping at least 7.5 hours a night (get to bed before 10pm & sleep in a clean, dark, cool room that is also tidy & aesthetically pleasing to you). Also, keep positive & focus on your life goals and not your skin !! Surround yourself with positive & supportive people & practice wellness enhancing techniques like yoga/ meditation/ nature walks etc....

A raw organic vegan diet is so restrictive that most people will most likely end up with nutritional deficiencies in the long run which would e.g. impede skin healing. Of course a healthy diet is good for everyone, but one should avoid anything too extreme. I doubt you could get sufficient amounts of B vitamins with a raw vegan diet. A "paleo" diet would be a safer alternative.

***PPS Take a quality high potency multivitamin daily like the Deva Nutrition brand containing iodine (and DHA/ EPA liquid for full spectrum omega 3 or 2 x tblsp of flaxseed oil daily). ***Ensure you also take 2000mcg of B12 weekly.

PPPPS Don't eat processed sauces like processed tomato sauce etc....make your own using 100% fresh, natural ingredients...and use fresh lemon or lime juice instead of vinegars...

PPPPPS Your acne could be related to a fungal/ candida/ yeast infection (usually identified by many stubborn often small flesh colored bumps), so stay away from processed sugars/ corn syrup etc...and eat an anti-candida diet...you can also try using Nizoral anti-fungal cream for a month (this also lowers DHT hormones so can help stubborn chin acne related to a DHT hormone imbalance BUT this is not a longterm treatment....try it for a month until your healthy diet clears up your face and then switch to lavender oil + tea tree oil etc).

Austra, research Mimi Kirk & Annette Larkins, they are very healthy vegans & in their 70s (but they look like they're in their 40s!!)...also watch the film "Knives over Folks" and "Food Inc"...being vegan is very healthy so long as you eat right...that's why many billionaires like Steve Wynn are switching to it!! Hiya. Ignore the people spreading bogus information over your thread. Diet will have little or no affect on your acne, and you can find that same information on this website. Although you should be eating healthily anyway.

Darksoul is right about accutane, it's supposedly even more effective than the regimen - But it can have some side effects so make sure you're willing to take the risk.

 

Don't stay away from benzoyl peroxide though, unless you are VERY sensitive or allergic to it of course. It can work wonders. Remember that you must give a treatment a few months to work before assessing how well it's doing, don't just jump to conclusions.

Note: Our soils are depleted of nutrients through intensive monocultural farming practices. Therefore, we SHOULD all take a multivitamin/ mineral which include an optimum B12 dosage (unless you are eating a very high superfood and nutrient dense diet). And most non-vegan meat eaters are deficient in B12. And although B12 is plentiful in natural streams and unwashed organic fruit/ vegetables - because of our modern lifestyle - we need to supplement it, that is, vegans and non-vegans alike!

FYI, accutane shortens your lifespan (i.e. it shortens your telomeres) & negatively impacts your fertility. It also causes hair loss, joint pain, dry skin and other chronic illnesses & it has ruined peoples lives (just search this board for proof!). People need to detox and undo the damage with a very healthy diet/ lifestyle....

And I'm here because benzoyl peroxide RUINED MY SKIN COMPLETELY  which has only been salvaged by virtue of a raw nutrient dense vegan diet + key topicals & derma rolling. wink.png

PPPS benzoyl peroxide causes CANCER!!

1stly,at this point stating there's no acne-diet connection is ignorance.

but it's also true that dietary changes are not a solution for many.doesnt mean there's no connection.it's proved.

it's like cigarette doesnt cause cancer in all.but only a mad man will deny there's no link.

 

2ndly,i dont support extreme of anything.(that is my personal opinion).

so i will say eat a diet that is good for YOU.

Eat good stuff and check for intolerance or triggers.

u can start with dairy and then go for gluten.

these two happen to quite famous villains.

u r to try for at least 2-3 mnths.

then,test for particular items like members of night shade family etc.

also,have lots of water - the whole detoxifying concept does work!

 

 

i dnt think going completely away from topicals is right.

bp is FDA approved although its known to be quite harsh.

so u can spot treat.

u can also try milder topicals like clindamycin(with or without nicotinamide)

USE A GOOD MILD BHA WASH 

 

treating ur present acne in any way is important ,prevention is another step.

so find out the cause - hormones,vitamin deficiency,messy skincare or diet overlapped with genetics and then attack.

but meanwhile treat the present ones also.
