Overhauled Diet 2 And A Half Weeks Ago

So I started a new diet 2 and a half weeks ago. Cut out all fast food. Paying attention to glycemic load. Not going overboard on grains and avoiding dairy and citrus fruits which I believe I am intolerant to. I was a chronic fast food eater before.

I am still getting pimples (less than before gradually) but it is weird. Huge under the skin cysts are still occasionally popping up but instead of growing large and being there for weeks if not months, they either die down in 24-48 hours or come to heads and turn into pustules which are also pretty short lived. In the past, none of my cystic acne would come to a head. While annoying and bad to look at, I will take a pustule over a cyst anyday.

Should I expect continuing results? Is this a cumulative process where I can eventually clear up?

diet and lifestyle modifications has shown results but 2.5 weeks is almost nothing.

u need to invest in healthy diet and lifestyle for long enough for ur body to cope up and come back on track.

eating right is good for ur overall health too not just ur acne.

so i'd suggest u carry on anyway.

indulge once in a while!

Status: Clear after 30 years. Wow, I guess it's been 6 years, now.

[ Story: Severe Acne since I was 10. 10+ years of Dermatologists, Antibiotics, topicals and ACCUTANE did nothing. Discovered oranges triggered the worst of my cystic acne = about 70% improvement. Tried some nutrient supplements like B-complex with zinc and C, saw palmetto and a BHA like the aspirin mask = more improvement, a lot less oily. Then, Diet changes = Clear.

Regimen: Anti-inflammatory, nutrient dense, blood sugar stabilizing diet and supplements (for hormones, inflammation, aging, health). No soap or other cleanser except for hand washing! Water only or Oil cleanse. Aloe Vera mixed with niacinimide and a high linoleic acid oil for moisturizer and reduce pigmentation.

Diet effects acne in so many ways: hormone balance, inflammation, Insulin levels, digestion, allergies and intolerances, liver function, adrenal function, SHBG levels, sebum quality, cell function and turnover, nutrient deficiencies, body fat, etc. Basic advice: Eat, sleep, supplement and exercise like you are a diabetic. And eat real food!
