Hi 19lee,

really great results you have. I am from SG and exploring subcision too. Do you mind sharing the doctor you went to?

omg that is so crazy because i just made an appointment for a consult for this laser last week.  i wanted to try it for my melasma but knowing that it does all those other things is a major bonus. nice! i cant wait to get this now. i tried to get same day appointment but the place i go to says they dont do that for some reason. anyway i should be getting it done sometime in august then. good deal!
oh by chance how much did you pay for the laser? the place i am going to wont give me a quote until i see them on 7/28. i am just trying to get an idea on how much money this is gonna set me back -ha!

I am located in Singapore, it is about $450 per session in my currency. That would work out to be about 360 USD? Hope all work out well for you!
Hi 19lee,

awesome results you have! I am from SG and exploring subcision too. But it seems that there is very little dermatologists practising this.
Do you mind sharing which doctor you went to?

I was wondering if using adhesive tapes to the face n peeling it off has the same effects as suctioning with vacuuming device?

I had one round of subcision with filler. Two of my scars are completely gone. I have two others that didn't respond…I was supposed to go back for a follow up appt, but I am rescheduling bcs 1) I can't afford another treatment right now, and the way I wear my hair does a pretty good job of camouflaging those particular scars 2)  I am starting to see results from the micro pen + venus freeze. I looked in the mirror today and looked like I was wearing foundation! The spattering of individual scars is still there…but the overall tone and texture seems to be responding well.

I will go back and do another round of subcision in the spring. RIght now my plan is to continue with the micro pen interspersed with some peels. I think.

The reason the other two didn't respond is bcs of their proximity to a large one that DID respond. They are fairly close together and during the procedure, there is enough swelling that it becomes difficult to obtain precise placement of the filler.

Went for subcision in Singapore exactly a month ago. At Dr. LL Cheong's clinic. I can say that after treatment the depth of my scars has reduced about 40+%. I have another consultation with my Dr next weekend where she will tell me if I need one more subcision (though she said its unlikely) OR co2 laser.

From having deep acne scars pre-subcision to shallower texture irregularities post-subcision, I now feel more optimistic that fractional co2 will patch up my skin and make it look pretty smooth (-:

I don't understand why you would go straight to co2 after your scarring improved a lot with just one subcision? I don't see the logic here. I would definitely hold off on the co2 and get one more subcision done. Incorporate the suction method and then go from there. Or combine the 2 (subcision + co2) but definitely get the subcision done 1-2 more times!!

If you have pitted scarring look into Subcision-Suction as well as microneeding. Check out my success here
