Now, this isn't with every single breakout.  But common enough to notice a pattern.  When I have some sort of break out on one side of my face, sometimes one almost identical will appear a little while later (usually when the first side is starting to heal) on the other side in the almost the same spot! Like a mirror image type of thing.  Is that weird? Is that a thing? Or am I crazy? lol

I always get recurring spots in the same spot, so annoying. I think I've got rid of it and then out it pops again. -_-

You are not crazy. I have observed that same symetrically opposite pimple phenomenon happen on me too. Not all the time, but often enough that I noticed it. Unfortunately I can't explain the reason for it though. Possibly just a coincidence, or due to washing/rubbing technique.

i get itchy raised red patches(almost like allery ) ,which sometimes feels like red spread bumps..they remain for sometime and go away.

they generally tend to happen in similar or same places.like the middle area of forehead, near the eyebrows, around my nose or so.

i think they are fungal(many have suggested here that they might be fungal folliculitis)...i'm not sure as well.

since they go away by themselves almost everytime ,its difficult to visit a doctor and explain(show) them the exact problem.

Symmetry! That's the word I was trying to think of lol

So its not just me huh? I was thinking maybe I'm unconsciously touching that spot on the other side for some reason.  That's pretty much my only explanation.  Unless there is some sort of "map" of the face that when one spot is affected another area reacts.

I could see it being some kind of communication snafu with the bodies reaction system. I sort of view a breakout as being due to the body sensing it is being invaded in a certain area and it sends antibody "warriors" to fight off the invaders. I suppose sometimes the bodies signals might be faulty and it sends "warriors" to both symmetrically opposite sides just for good measure, or because it's simpler to do, etc. Silly, right? I haven't had one of those symmetric things happen in quite a while. I've probably now voodoo hexed myself and will have a matching set of swollen lumps on either side of my face next time I look in the mirror!

Its so annoying.  I've changed my skin care treatment and am in the transition period where its purging and I'm obviously breaking out alot more and it seems like a vicious cycle now!  ugh plus the itchiness. It feels like a slap in the face. Like "haha! have some more just when you thought it was done...on that side" >_<

You're not crazy! I've noticed the exact same thing since I've had acne, which is like .. 13 years or so now? There has to be something to this. I've seen rashes and similar stuff appear on other people in symmetrical positions .. so I wonder if acne can do the same.

This happens in one spot on me. Just above my mouth. Very teeny tiny whitehead. When i carefully extract it, one appears on the other side. Luckily they are very small and extracting them leaves no mark or redness. So weird though that this happens to other people. Im sure its just coincidence, but its often for me!

Nobody is crazy, this is quite common. Its just the way your skin reacts. Nothing much you can do about it ( besides getting rid of acne ).
