make the post heading "low carb diet" instead of "no carb diet" - it will make sense better and also not scare people who are afraid of extreme diets.

How many times a day you wash your face bro? And only with water ?

once a day. only with water. sometimes not at all. well im not counting the shower which makes it twice a day. so twice a day with water. i dont like cleansers.

well my skin was breaking out really bad this week but it seems  to be on the road to recovery as it has started to clear up.  i was getting these small cysts full of some sort of strange oil. i think it was caused by the excessive amounts of olive oil that i was eating. today my skin looks a lot better although i have some redness of the acne that i had last week. it could be that all those carbs i ate last monday finally showed up on my skin. anyway today i only have 3 pimples. My diet has stayed the same as when i started these posts and i no longer feel sick. i realized that what was making me sick was eating the zinc pills on a stomach without carbs in it. when i take the zinc within an hour of eating the carbs i have no stomach pain so i am able to follow this diet. the other night i binged on fruits lol. i had a banana, 2 peaches, 10 strawberries. i just love fruits. luckily so far my skin has not really done anything from it and that was 3 days ago. my skin is going back to how it was when i started the thread so i am happy about that. i continue the diet and using honey at night. the only difference is that i put this tea tree oil gel on my skin the last two nights because i was worried about the new acne that i had. i had about 10 pimples.

your diet does not seem sustainable long-term IMO

See the fact is that a low carb diet is not only good for a clear skin, but also for keeping away excess weight. But, the only issue is that it has been observed that a low carb diet is not really sustainable in the long run. Most people, who follow this diet, end up having craving for carbs and more often than not end up binge eating.

True, it happened to me. I was on very very low carb. Than ate nothing but junk food for like 2-3 weeks. Now for the past 6-7 months I am eating low carb (about 40-70 carbs a day).

But if you think about it, most people binge eat on a daily basis (i.e. eat lots of junk food)

http://www.bodyrecom...o-you-need.html

These are a real nice study about how many carbs do we need to put some muscle, only 1g/lb is OK!

And what do you think about up your protein intake for like 1,25/1,5g/lb, you think it's too much?

Keep smiling! But make sure you're giving your body what it needs. Carbs from vegetables should be plenty sufficient for humans, however it depends on the individual. Gradual change will help in the long run. Don't just go extreme and expect to stick with it if you can't. And make sure you get a physical blood test done whenever possible :3. Food diary may not be such a bad thing either.

I too have the same issue. I break out each time I have too many simple carbs or even carbs in general. Which is why I stick to a high protein, high fiber diet and it works for me.

i'd like to revisit this post. i stopped this diet about 3 months ago when i started using chromium picolinate. It was working quite well for a long time and still does mostly. however, i have ramped up my sugar addiction with yogurt, "nutrition bars", starbucks coffee everyday. I have been having about 5 pimples a day now and i am not happy because it is spreading to my neck my back is the worst acne i have ever had. I have decided that I can not follow this diet again but i am going to go ahead and limit my sugar. I calculated that I am averaging 110 grams of sugar a day. I am cutting it to 50 by removing starbucks and my nutrition bar. I am replacing the nutrition bar with tortilla chips and salsa which is against my 99% carb diet but tastes great. I am in college now and it is almost impossible to ever follow this diet at this moment in my life. Plus i like eating good food. But i know i have a problem with the sugar. I will continue eating all the other junk that is high glycemic but  i will limit my sugar. I am posting some before pics right now and i will see what happens in like 2 weeks.
