How Can I Tell If My Acnes Hormonal Or Not?

Ever since I was 11 ive had acne, not severe, but probably mild to moderate. I don't usually break out bad around my chin, i usually break out on my cheeks. it also seems to get really worse around my period. (like a week before i start) would you say this is hormonal? (im 15 now if its any help)
