There's really no way to say which is causing your breakouts.
I don't get notified of your response to my post unless you QUOTE my post.
Please only quote a small portion of the post so it doesn't clutter up the thread.
HOW I STAY 100% CLEAR:
Spironolactone (anti-androgen drug)
Betaine HCL with each meal
Avoiding silicones and occlusives in skin/hair products

Ive been taking Folic Acid for a month now and noticed that I started breaking out. The folic acid is for my hair (Im not pregnant). Anyway, I am also on Yasmin only started four days ago, I think these breakouts are not from Yasmin yet (they say u get initial breakouts from birth control pills two to three weeks into taking them). So I decided to stop the folic acid and continue Yasmin. For topical treatment, Im using The Regimen and Dry Lo sulfur which are effective BUT I just keep getting new ones, this is so depressing. Im 30 yrs old I thought Im over this after years of clear skin.
Sulfur causes an initial breakout that varies in length depending on the individuals acne severity and acne type. Sulfur much like salicylic acid and retin a causes the skin to regenerate at a faster rate. Clogged pores that cannot be seen are micro comedones and the sulfur is bringing those to the surface at an accelerated rate. If you have any closed comedones those are also be brought the surface.
I have a lot of experience with sulfur acne topical treatments. I've used a few and always work great for me but they take time to work so BE PATIENT. You're also on BC so you'll be clear in no time. Don't get discouraged because your acne will clear.

My dermatologist prescribes me vitamins and there's folic acid in it, and it has really helped me! (there's also other vitamins in it as well)..but honestly, my hair and nails grow super fast now, my skin is crystal clear 99 percent of the time, and my eyelashes are now super long! so it really might now be the folic acid that's making you break out.
