From my experience, you need to get your face wet and rub the oil off with your hands every one or two days.

This regimen isn't for everyone. I'm currently doing the water-only method and I'm getting amazing results, I'm currently completely clear with just red marks remaining. I think my acne was due to over-washing and irritation and this regimen is ideal for me. If your acne is due to hormones, diet or bacteria, it probably won't work out.
I'm washing every day though (with cold water only), so maybe you need to do it more than every 3 days.

I will do exactly the same as mine is through irritation.

This is true to an extent. The caveman regimen may not cure your acne, but it may have other benefits for your skin. For example, because insulin resistance is the cause of my acne, this regimen did not affect acne formation but it did improve the genral texture and quality of my skin which is a big plus if you ask me.
