Hello, everyone! My name is Amber, I just registered.

I am getting married in about 9 months or so, and I'm desperate for my skin to clear up.

I have been (and still sort of am) on Proactiv. It seems to help a bit, but I still have inflamed and sometimes painful acne.

Without using any acne treatments, my chin, cheeks, and sides of my face break out awfully with whiteheads and inflamed acne, and my chin will get very painful cystic acne.

After reading up some more on this website, I have realized Proactiv's cleanser may be irritating my face a bit, so I am now using Cetaphil Normal to Oily Cleanser, Proactiv 2.5 Benzoyl Peroxide, and Eucerin SPF 15 Moisturizer.

I am starting to break out with more whiteheads.

I am considering starting The Regimen using acne.org products.

I was wondering.. since this here (Cetaphil, Proactiv, Eucerine) is not working for me, and it's the same concept, will Dan's products work better? Is it different?

Any help would be much appreciated, I'm new to this!

xx

Just curious if you read up on how to go about performing the regimen? It does take more time than the proactiv regimen. It requires waiting around 10-15 mintues before proceeding to the next step.

Also, A LOT of BP is required. If I remember correctly proactiv only says to apply a thin layer of the BP. As Dan says, BP is the heart and soul of the regimen so a good amount is needed when treating your acne.

And most importantly, being very gentle when cleansing and adding the BP and moisturizer.

I don't use Dan's products, but the regimen has worked for me. Let us know how it goes. :)

Morning Routine:
- CLEANSER: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser/Acne.org Cleanser
- BENZOYL PEROXIDE : 1 pump of The Acne.org 2.5%
- MOISTURIZER: CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion + Neutrogena Moisture with SPF 15 + 5-6 drops of Acne.org Jojoba Oil

Evening Routine:
- CLEANSER: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser/Acne.org Cleanser
- BENZOYL PEROXIDE : 1 pump of The Acne.org 2.5%
- MOISTURIZER: Cetaphil Moilturizing Cream + Acne.org AHA + 5-6 drops of Acne.org Jojoba Oil

Extras:
- Concealer: MAC Studio Finish Concealer in C25 (for redness)
- Pressed Powder: MAC Select Sheer in NC20 (for mattefying)
- Foundation: Revlon Colorstay for Oily/Combination Skin in Buff (for even skin tone)
- Scrub: St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control (twice a week in the AM)
- Medication: Diane 35
                     Meftormin 500mg (for PCOS)
- Supplements: Vitamin D3 (1000UI/day) --- Started 5/16/2013
                         Zinc (50mg/day) --- Started 5/16/2013

And this is all done as gently as possible. smile.png
