I have done this, came out as acne bacteria for me.

I wish dermatologists would do this more often, especially considering all the antibiotic resistant bacteria out there. Of course, it seems to me that a lot of insurance companies think acne is purely a "cosmetic" problem, and probably wouldn't cover the lab fees if samples were taken.
