Photos Won't Rotate

I use an iPod Mini, all of my original photos in the camera roll are rotated properly. When I upload photos, some of them end up rotated upside down or sideways. I've tried using the rotate button to fix them, and it shows the photos rotating and I save, but then they just end up back to the way they were. Please help, thank you :)

You're right. Initially it appeared to work, but upon refreshing the page, it reverted.

 

I have a couple of ideas as to what it might be.
