Olay Foaming Face Wash (Sensitive)

8 posts in this topic

Recently we tried 6 more cleansers, hoping to find more foaming yet gentle liquid cleanser options for everyone. As usual, most failed miserably, but one of them came out on top: Olay Foaming Face Wash (Sensitive). It comes in a 7oz. tube and a 6.8oz. bottle with identical product inside. It lathers well--just be sure to mix in an adequate amount of water to get a good lather going--and is unscented. Unfortunately, it's not perfect because it contains sodium laureth sulfate, but it is the 11th ingredient, and overall the profile is acceptable. Plus it's affordable and widely available. I've added it to the official list of approved cleansers. Please let everyone know what you think of it on the Olay Foaming Face Wash reviews page.

Love this stuff! It's widely available, relatively cheap, and comes in pump and tube form!!!

Summer Routine
AM

CeraVe Hydrating Bar

Paula's Choice 8% AHA Gel

Olay Regenerist Fragrance Free Serum

(began using all over face June 10th. Seems to better control acne and fade hyperpigmentation)

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion everywhere but forehead

Vaseline everywhere but forehead  (can't emphasize enough)

BP 2.5% (some days)

infallible total cover 308

PM

Simple Micellar

CeraVe Hydrating Bar

Paula's Choice 8% AHA
Note: Just BHA seems to to work better at fading hyper pigmentation than both together so consider just BHA in the pm??? Experiment start- 5/26
noted more breakouts with this method so discontinued June 8th. Not sure whether to work it back in combined with AHA

Okay Regenerist Fragrance Free Serum
(began using all over face June 10th. Seems to better control acne and fade hyperpigmentation)

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion everywhere but forehead

Vaseline

*For winter routine - make sure you're using a humidifier and add vaseline at night if your skin starts breaking out.

The Oil of Olay line is not for acne sufferers, despite Dan's recommendations.

No regimen is one-size-fits-all. You are unique and so is your skin.

AM

Black soap - Lumiplexion Salicylic Acid ~ Lumiplexion SPF 30 ~ Lumiplexion moisturizer

PM

Black soap ~ Lumiplexion Glycolic Acid 12% (3-4x week) ~ Lumiplexion Hydroquinone 1-2x week

Lumiplexion enzyme mask / sulfur mask / moisturizing mask 1-2 week as needed

Highly recommend black soap versus almost any store facial cleanser with tons of chemicals that strip your skin. We liquefy the black soap into a pump bottle. One bar would last a person a whole year if used correctly for about $10 a bar.
