Please help. My beautiful child had a very big acne pimple from eating potatoe chips. She/he has perfect skin. But this pimple was very large on the side of her/his mouth. It's going away and I know it won't scar. I PRAY TO GOD MY CHILD DOES NOT GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH! I pray he has his Mom's skin! She/he is 11 go ing on 12.

I am going to make sure she/he doesn't eat that garbage again. But should I start taking her to a dermatoloigst now or wait?

go to a derm asap. In the mean time ice it for two minutes every 2 hours or so using a paper towel.

Derms are not the answer. Healthy lifestyle and diet will do more than antibiotics or topicals

He/She?

Whatever it is, they'll be fine and I wouldn't think a derm would be necessary. Remember, people get zits all the time and it doesn't mean that acne's on the way.

I suggest seeing a dermatologist so that they can give you a proper skin analysis as well as advice to prevent any severe acne in the future. There are a lot of resources and information on natural remedies that can help to keep the acne at bay.
Just stay positive and don't stress over it, because your child will see you stress and they might start to stress which can cause acne as well.
