I posted this in the "introduce yourself" forum, but realized this section was probably more appropriate. I've had these marks for about a year and a half after a bad break out. I visited a dermatologist and that cleared up my acne but these red scars have persisted. So far, I've tried Apple Cider Vinegar but that only made things worse. I think I also made them worse by taking desperate advice from a friend and went tanning frequently last winter. Has anyone experienced marks like these? If so, what treatments worked for you? I've been thinking about doing a salicylic peel, laser or microdermabrasion treatments, or perhaps a trip back to the doctor. ANY help is appreciated.

I think an AHA peel could probably help. Between lactic and glycolic, I like lactic better. Haven't tried salicylic.

Definitely don't tan anymore, I'm pretty sure that just makes your spots darker. Make sure you start using sunscreen religiously, especially if you end up deciding to get chemical treatments.
