Hi Everyone, 

 

I just ordered the regimen ( the big kit ) from amazon.com and I paid about £ 25 for the shipping fees.

My shipping address is in the UK but I got a bit worried because from this website (acne.org) the shipping fees are about $ 68 for the UK so I wonder how could it be so cheap on amazon?

I hope to receive my order very soon and to not have any extra fees /tax...

Did you ever used Amazon.com to buy the acne.org products in the UK? If so, did it work or did you had any trouble receiving your order?

I have ordered direct from acne.org & through Amazon.com in the past and the total cost has always been the same (although I have only ordered individual items, not a kit).

 

Just checked the charges myself & it's strange that when ordering direct from acne.org the postage is double that of Amazon, & yet the products on Amazon are still dispatched by acne.org! I noticed that none of the delivery times for the various delivery options on acne.org match up to Amazon's 10 to 20 business days.

 

Be prepared to pay import VAT (20%) plus handling fees. Sometimes you are lucky & they get through without charge, but in my experience I have been charged every time.

I got charged £13 extra in VAT, customs and handling on one 16oz bottle of AHA. I can only imagine what an entire kit must cost.

The first order was for 8oz BP (treatment). It was $16.52 (£10.64) +$11.58 (£7.46) shipping, total $28.10 (£18.10).

 

My second order was for 6oz AHA. It was $16.11 (£10.42) + $10.01 (£6.48) shipping, total $26.12 (£16.90).

 

They were delivered without having to pay any extra charges.

£8 handling charges, can't remember the rest, I don't keep boxes.

I too bought acne.org from amazon.  Although its being ordered from amazon, they directly ship it from acne.org just as if you ordered it from acne.org.  It is not in a separate warehouse or anything like I thought it would be.  I live in the U.S. but Amazon said that I would have $4.95 in shipping costs but then when i checked out it was the same as if ordering it from acne.org at 9 or 10 dollars.  It will probably be what ever the acne.org website says the shipping cost to the UK will be.  Shipping costs are the worst!

Ahh right. I misread your post. I thought you ordered a tube (8oz). Yes a 16oz bottle @$32 (£21) will attract import VAT.

 

I wasn't sure if the handling fee had increased recently with the other postal increases, but it is still currently £8.

I realized this after I ordered it. Safe to say it's an 8oz tube for me next time  Heh heh.
