Ive just started using Avene extremely gentle cleanser as my cleanser for the regimen followed by acne.org bp followed by Avene skin recovering cream as moisturiser. Has anyone used Avene products as part of the regimen and been successful? And are these okay substitutes?

Hi, I use the Avene extremely gentle cleanser sometimes (As you just use cotton pads and don't need water I use it on mornings when I can't get in the bathroom! - I live in a house with 3 other girls who all have partners) Generally I prefer to wash with water just because that is what I am used to and is recommended by Dan but I think this cleanser is good and I don't notice my skin being different from when I use a different gentle cleanser with water. The only other Avene product I use is spf 50+ facial moisturiser which I think is amazing! Not greasy at all and great for my very fair skin. So yes, I think they are okay substitutes, the ones I've used have worked well for me and generally Avene products are very gentle/for sensitive skin which is exactly what the regimen requires! Hope that helps

Thanks for your reply Flaxen I think I will stick with the avene products for a bit cos they seem to be working okay - slight break out now I'm in my second week though! But I've heard that's normal? Hopefully it isn't the products I'm using.
