I can't say the same thing works for everyone, but I wanted to share my story for anyone who feels like they've tried everything. I've had adult acne for about 25 years. And I have tried everything short of Accutane to make it go away. So many pills and creams, years and years of them. It would always start out the same: in a couple of weeks, I'd see improvement. Sometimes certain meds just didn't work at all. But many did... until they stopped working. The Regimen worked for me after a few weeks, and it continued to work fairly well for almost 2 years. I wasn't getting giant cystic zits or huge breakouts, but like I said it worked for the most part and I was satisfied with it. I really thought I was out of the woods, but then about six months ago, it stopped working, just like everything else.
For reasons completely unrelated to my skin, I decided to try a way of eating called The Whole 30. You can google it if you're curious. It's basically like a paleo diet, but you strip all grains, dairy, processed foods, sugar, and sugar substitutes out of your diet completely, and you do it for 30 days. I did it, and for the first time in 25 years my skin isn't just clear, it's luminous, and completely acne-free. Not one pimple, dry patch, blackhead, nothing. I am getting so many comments/compliments from friends and family. I really wish I had done this years ago before the acne scars and damage all those creams did to my skin. Will it last? I hope so, but I guess time will tell. I don't plan on going back to my old way of eating anytime soon, for me the clear skin is so worth it. I don't know what it was that was causing the breakouts, but it's obvious to me that something I was eating was probably the culprit.
Everyone is different, and I know what worked for me might not work for someone else. But I wanted to share anyway, because if one person tries what I did and it works, then it was worth the time composing this message. Good luck to everyone.
