Hi guys. I was wondering if anybody has got a hypertrophic scar from collagen overproduction from subcision on a rolling scar.
Just some background : my main problem is a rolling scar on my left cheek which was quite depressed. In September last year my derm performed subcision and since then I would say that there's been a 50% improvement.
I'm happy with the improvement of course but the scar still bothers me. I'm thinking of having a second subcision but when I met my derm in December she said that she wanted to let the scar heal from the first subcision before doing anything on it. She also mentioned that a previous patient had her rolling scar become a hypertrophic one from her second subcision. Have any of you had that happen to you?
Lastly I have one depression on each cheek which she say has no scar tissue underneath and thus she doesn't want to perform subcision on it. What do you guys think about this?
Thanks a bunch!

Hey there - I'm not sure but people here have definitely had multiple subcisions successfully. What made her think there is no scar tissue in the other depression?
