Hi everyone, Happy New Year to all of you and wish you all having a better year.
Last year, lots of unfortunate things happened to me, like really serious stuff. But i'm still fine now finally decided that i'm going on accutane. Right now i'm taking Claravis 40mg a day and this is the second day. nothing much happening, just feel thirsty more frequently.
A little bit of my background; i, as most of you guys, have had acne for years. Last years, after my Bday party with all the alcohol, late night parties, it got to the worst ever. Antibiotics doesnt help me but worsen my acne. Then i did lots of research and switched to natural remedies like changing my diet, no dairy, no soy, no red meat, reducing gluten intake, sugary food and more veggie and vitamin E and A. I started to drink lemon water, use ACV for cleanser, change my pillow case often all. And They worked wonder for me,seriously. My skin not only got better with no break out at all, but i also lost much of my unwanted fat on my face. But lately, school starts and i just don't have that much time to care about my skin. And I notice that whenever my hormones are imbalanced [You know why right?lol], i'll get cystics again. Thing is no matter how hard i try, i can not get rid of acne. Some day before Xmas, i wondered what my life would be if i have more confidence in my appearance, less time worrying and taking care of the damn bumps on my face, less physical and psychological pain that they cause me... That's when i ultimately put on this final bet.....

I'll update more about my skin later

I think all the time how different my life would be... I'd be a totally different person. ;(

I guess life goes on... it's been 1 month on accutane, not much improvent, besides the fact I don't have oily skin.

Still keeping positive though!! Good luck

I know. these damn acne really shaped my life. lolz i wish i could control their impacts on me but....it's hard

Day 4
Got some more funny cystic ones. I dont know if it's because of the new lotion [Aquaphor] my derm recommended me or the medication. my skin is not dry yet so i guess i don't really need this this lotion, it feels so sticky on the face, and is not absorbed into my skin at all.

Almost done with fist week of school. i've been running around for the entry codes and gosh lolz. it kills me

Day 6.
nothing much is happening. i just feel like my lips are kinda drier than they were. i got them and my face well moistureized tho.
2 cystic ones.still a long way to go woooh
Another cold sun day. so beautiful that it kills everyone not to go out. lolzzz. i'm fine with it though since my skin doesnt like the sun anyway.
Hope you guys have a nice weekend....

Keep your head up. I was on accutane 2 years ago and it perfectly cleared up my skin. It changed me entirely. Hope for the same result for you :)

day 8:
dry dry lips, i use my lip balm like every 30 minutes. but it's ok still. Tthe itchy scalp bothers me a lot and it's kinda embarrassing. haiz2 more bumps appear. when i asked my derm if my skin would get worse before it got better, she said, "likely not." well even though i knew that there would be an IB, i really wanted to believe her. oh well. lolzzz.

Yikes, itchy scalp. Accutane will probably makes it worst. Maybe ask your derm. what they can prescribe to relieve that. If your lucky you wont get a really bad IB. I remember when I first started, I never got a IB, it just went better from there. BUT, I had the worst flushing problem ever! I turn red from everything, it was quite embarrassing, lol.

ughhh. the flaky scalp is embarrassing as well. it's like i'm making snow whenever i touch my head.:/. i don't know if anyone experienced blurry eyes when taking the pills cause i'm right now!!!!
Well, My IB is not too bad but yeah i have about 3 active cystic bumps on my right cheek. besides that, everything is pretty much alright.
I know it's a bit too early to ask but what should i do to diminish scarring after accuatane. i already have some acne scarring from the past. laser is one option but i have to wait for another 6 months before going on the procedure. is there any remedy that i could use right after Tane?

I've heard of people going on Retin A right after they finish their course to help keep their skin clear and to help fade scars. That's what I'm planning on doing.

thankzz. i also heard about that too, but i had had really bad reaction with retin A in the past therefore i'm still a bit skeptical about it. i actually have some asian turmeric topical cream that work really well on my skin before so i think i'll go with it afterward.

day 16: Half a month!!! wooh wooh. 5 and a half to go. lolzzzz
nothing much actually. chapped lips, dry skin and my itchy scalp seemed to get back to normal. a couple days ago my fingers' skin were all flaked out and now they're alright as well. i notice that my face is much less red than before and looks brighter.lolzz
gday every one!!

Hey guys! it's been a couple busy days, believe it or not i just had my midterm this morning.lolzzz. since my class are more about  presentations and role - play practice my prof had us do the midterm in the 3rd week of the quarter. haha.

day 22:

my skin is pretty ok now, only 2 healing bumps. it's dry and i kinda like it. i can see my under skinned small black heads are diminished with my skin flaking out. is it how accuatane works??

Besides dry skin and sensitive skin, i don't experience any other side effects, which is sooo good, i was so scared before i took it. will there be more the next month though i wonder?? i already schedule the next appointment with my derm on next friday....

Ok see you all next time. and please answer my concerns if you can. thanks guys. keep calm!!!
