Hmmm... Why would you want to do it urself and take the risk of further damaging ur scars? Even though the procedure may seem simple, I wouldn't want to do anything by myself. I would rather much pay and have a specialist do it.

I agree, home treatments are a bad idea. Leave it to the professionals.

Does this website give any more details about the procedure? It  explains the process step-by-step, but a lot of the text could't be translated. The links at the top also lead to info about aftercare, frequently asked questions, etc... all in Korean

also do you mind to ask your doc what sort of peel uses after the cora therapy and its concentration?

i think the technique is obvious...they want to target the tissue where the dermis is collapsed.but what confuses me is

whether they begin needling from the outer edge  of the scar or the inside place of the scar or both!?

Most treatments target the damaged tissue (subsicion, needling, TCA Coss) so I'm curious what is different about this treatment and thought the website might explain it.

 

Also he said he waits 2 weeks.

jt13 if you see the link below they approach the skin from the outer edge of the scar ..they insert the needle diaonigally till the needle reach 

scar tissue at the center of the scar...in contrast with dermaroller and dermastamping   they target the scar tissue somewhat vertically...

also if you have already see this thread below there is a chance  that this guy performed cora therapy on his own without know it.

he pinched up the skin ,then insert a thin sew needle somewhat horizontally from many parts of the outer edge of the scar and his result were amazing..

The time between each session is 2 weeks. He said something about a laser peel but not sure, I'll have to ask him again. From what I see, he seems to poke it from the outside of the scar.Also he told me on my next session, which is the 4th, he's going to do something else that's suppose to make the new tissues rise along with the needling.

Hey everyone,

Just came back from my 4th session. So something new. Along with the needling, the doc lasered off the edges of the scar to even things out, which I think is brilliant. I'm not posting any pictures cause it's just going to look like the other ones, red and swollen. I've 2 more to go and then I'm done. I'm assuming he would want me to do more to make it really really perfect but time and money is a bit tight so I am planning to wait till December. Oh, yeah, I forgot. I was going to tell you guys that there is a way you can actually get this surgery if you have the will and credentials. This is just something I thought about for you folks that don't have access to this theraphy. I'm pretty sure some of you guys know about this, but you can actually try getting a job as an ESL teacher for a year so you can get this done. I use to be a recruiter for people that were interested in teaching in korea, however, I am no longer active. But if you want me to help you I can. So here is the deal. As an English teacher, all you need is a bachelor degree in any major as long as you are from the 7 English speaking countries and you must have a clean record. The benefits are great and it's a great way to travel and save money. A lot of recent college grads come and end up paying of their debts and still have money to take home. Fully furnished housing is provided, airfare is provide both ways, insurance is covered 50%, and you get a severance pay after your 1 year contract. The salary ranges anywhere from $2,000-2,700 a month. Now you might think that this is not a lot.. and it actually isn't for some people.However, think of it like this. Let's say you make $5,000 or more a month. But you got your bills, rent, insurance, high living expenses( depending where you live.. I'm from cali and it's not that cheap) etc... How much do you think you would actually be left with from that $5,000? Not a whole lot. Now, you pay no rent, no bills other than the utilities(which is pretty cheap here), 50% of the insurance is covered, and the living expense is really low here in South Korea. So, what do you think about my idea? Hope it helps someone out... If you have any other questions, feel free to ask~

great Jace Cali.. so he lasered the edges but with what kind of laser(could be fraxel?) ..also i suppose he is poking the scar from every possible corner of the outer edge?right? or from specific places from the outer edge? i love how south korea has come with such an advanced technology and methodology

and i hope south korea will spread its inventions all over the rest of us:)

Hey Panos,

I think he's getting ready to do something overseas. In the mean time he wants me to help spread the word and possibly work as an agent to help out with all the transaction between the hospital and client. Anywho, I'm going to wait until I'm finished with my treatment and from there depending on my satisfaction, I'll think about doing something with them. One things for sure though, Korean doctors or plastic surgeons are know for their skills.

Sorry, I'm confused, are u saying in order to have the treatment done u require these credentials? Or possible u can just stay there for a month and have this treatment done as a tourist?

Hey Sweetea,

It was just an idea that I thought of since the therapy is not performed out of South Korea. You need those credentials in order to get a teaching job here in SK. You can also get a tourist visa and get it done but only a month of treatment, I don't know if you would see any drastic improvements depending on the severity of your scars. Also, making money to pay off your treatment wouldn't be a bad idea??

I was wondering if your doctor said what kind of scars will be most suitable for this therapy? I have a couple of boxcar scars that I would like to get treated, would I be suitable for this treatment? Thanks!

When I went in for a consultation, he told me all depressed scars such as rolling, ice pick, and boxcar scars. Are you in or willing to come to South Korea? Actually, why don't you wait until I'm finished with my treatment to see the result. I don't want to recommend anyone yet until I'm finishe and have good results. Ill be going in for my 5 th treatment next week Wednesday and ill be done after one more. In the mean time if you would like me to show the doctor ur scars to get some feedback send me some photos of ur face in different angles, and take it with me next Wednesday. Jacehr@gmail.com
