Hey all,
So after being on the clear skin regimen for several months and not clearing up around my mouth, I finally went to a derm who diagnosed me with perioral dermatitis. This was a relief and made a lot of sense, but now I'm going to be on antibiotics (Doxy) for 4 weeks. I was also already on it for 2 weeks prior because a different doctor thought I had staph around my mouth. I have this horrible fear that I'm going to contract gram negative folliculitis. Of course now I have a nice big pimple right under my nose, and I know that gram negative folliculitis begins in your nose. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with gram negative folliculitis? I guess I want assurance that I'm not going to get it. I ready somewhere that you need to be on antibiotics for over a year to get it, but I read somewhere else that you can get it only after a couple months. Anyways, please let me know what you all think!
